Stopped by for the happy hour. The price was right ($10/item) but some items were smallish (spicy tuna on crispy rice was only three pieces). The meatballs were good, the chips and guacamole were plentiful, the empanadas were tasty, and the fried calamari was ok. The service was superb.

Loretta has been absolutely fabulous. Super attentive and super friendly. And Ron is always the most pleasant person greeting us after our tennis matches. Always making us feel welcome. Gustavo always greets me with the most fabulous martinis. Never any left.

OMG, we have always loved the Shade Hotel! We actually spent our wedding night here back in 2006, so it’s always held a special place in our hearts. Recently, we’ve started coming back more often — the manager, Davis, has been doing such an amazing job bringing in incredible live music.
We love having dinner here on Thursday nights and listening to fantastic local talent. Sundays are also becoming a favorite — the solo acts are killer and the vibe is just perfect. It’s so unique to have this kind of high-quality live music right here in Manhattan Beach. Shade is truly becoming something special again!

The restaurant is great. Fab location with open terrace but works for chilly days too as they have heaters. Service is friendly, professional and quick. They do not forget about you!
Food is seriously yummy. I had the Crispy Chicken Breast strater and Spicy Fried Chicken Salad – both which I could eat every day! My friends were happy with they choice too. Recommend it as it’s exceptionally great for a hotel restaurant!

Fantastic south bay sit-down brunch option! Easy parking, great outdoor space, allows dogs, friendly and quick service, delicious food, good portions and they even had live music when we were there.

Food is scrumptious! From the skydeck, the smell from the restaurant downstairs is absolutely tantalizing. The service is amazing, they can bring you food and drinks to the rooftop Jacuzzi. Everyone is so kind and helpful, with phenomenal attitudes.

I checked in the Shade Hotel Manhattan Beach at night. I ate alone at Zinc in the hotel 1F for dinner. The man at the bar was very pleasant service. I couldn’t drink, so I ordered a slice of lemon in the hot water. And I ordered Crispy Skin Norweigan Salmon. There was a risotto under the crispy grilled salmon w skin, which was a little thick, but the taste was mild and easy to eat. This dish was well served with the hot lemon water I ordered. I liked the place where I could relax alone. I’m thinking about what to eat next time.
