My name is Rudy Jason Rubio, born and raised in Los Angeles. I’ve been in the food service industry since I was 14 years old, and I consider myself well-seasoned, well-traveled, with a sharp eye and palate for great food. To be honest, I was starting to lose hope in the LA food scene—until I found The Benjamin.

What a beautiful blessing of a restaurant. We started with the marinated olives, which immediately set the tone, followed by a perfectly executed wedge salad. We originally came because of the rave burger reviews—and they absolutely did not disappoint. But the real showstopper was the lobster pasta. Epic. Memorable. The kind of dish that reminds you why you love dining out.

On top of the food, Natalie, our waitress/bartender, was beyond amazing—attentive, warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely elevated the entire experience. And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, we had the carrot cake for dessert. Incredible. The perfect ending to an outstanding meal.

Thank you, The Benjamin, for restoring my faith in the Los Angeles food scene. I’ll definitely be back—and I’ll be telling people. VAMOS ⚡️⚡️

After searching for the top burger spots in town, Benjamin quickly made it onto the list of visiting restaurants. Among them, Benjamin stands out with some of the best burgers around. The burger was very tasty and made with high-quality meat. Although it’s a bit pricey, I think it’s definitely worth trying. The service and atmosphere also contribute to a great overall experience. We weren’t sure if they took walk-ins, so we decided to make a reservation just in case.

Stepping into the venue would feel like you’re just transported into a totally different space. Classy look, dim lighting, somewhat giving the speakeasy’s vibe. Reservation’s highly recommended as the venue seemed to be pretty busy as early as 6pm-ish.

My friend and I started with their Crab Beignets, my pick being a crab lover. Wouldn’t say it’s not kinda steep being an appetizer, but when I took a bite I could tell it featured generous portions of crab meat. Pretty simple yet well-seasoned and flavorful.

As for the main, we shared The Benjamin Burger, which I would say was the crowd’s favorite as it seemed to be in almost all the reviews and we could see it served on lots of other tables. Just like how the picture showed it, ordering it medium, they did come at the precise wellness – juicy and tender. The sauce complemented the overall taste, but surely not overpowering. It’s served with fries on the side with nice garlic sauce and ketchup. Despite I did enjoyed my burger a lot, would admit it’s tad pricey being at mid $30s.

As if french fries weren’t enough, we did get their Baked Potato, their other dish that made it to the top reco on Yelp. To my surprise, it tasted super rich and the crispy delicious skin was doubtlessly the winner. SO SO GOOD, especially when you took a bite with all the elements in the plate – the sour cream, the scallion, and the bacon as add-on we opted for. If you felt like splurging, they also offered caviar add-on, which could turn your baked potato to be over $100.

Overall, I certainly had an impressive dinner. Would I come back? Prolly only on certain occasion when I would be willing to spend more.

The Benjamin Burger lives up to the hype!
I made a reservation to try their famous burger, which is rightfully considered one of the best in Los Angeles. The thick, juicy patty was absolutely delicious—flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fries were equally impressive, crispy and well-seasoned. Everything about this meal was excellent.

Hands down the best service I’ve had in a long time! The servers are so personable and spoke to us like we are longtime friends which is a welcome surprise in LA. The food is great. As a cocktail lover, this place exceeds my expectations and reminds me of living in NYC or my travels in Italy. Ambiance is really special and one-of-a-kind. Will definitely be back

One of our favorite restaurants in LA. We usually come here for some burgers. But all the items on the menu are incredible. (The kale salad is my favorite!!) The atmosphere is classic, elegant and comfortable not pretentious. Everything is as it should be. This is the restaurant you should visit over and over when you are around the neighborhood.

Good vibe. Good service. Food definitely overrated and overpriced. Crab begniet tasted more deep fried than crab cake. Chicken wings tasted as good as Buffalo Wild Wings. 34$ Famous burger? Not great. 30$ Manhattan ??? Just ok. Going out I expect to pay more but also expect better than what I can make at home. Sorry, but not going back.

This is the place you want to be on any given night in LA. Dialed in from when the doors first opened, dining here is the type of experience one strives for every time they go out to eat. The cocktails are cold, the dishes craveable, the vibe on point. Whether you are there weekly or dropping in for the first time, Ben, Kate and the whole team makes guests feels like a regular. You can usually catch me at the bar with martini sidecar, fries and burger.

I’ve been following Ben Hundreds, the owner of The Benjamin, for nearly two decades. His brand, The Hundreds, was one of the first streetwear brands I ever wore. I used to spend almost my entire paycheck at their flagship on Rosewood & Fairfax, buying hoodies, tees, and anything else that would make me feel like a part of The Hundreds community. Over the years, I’ve seen how the brand has grown alongside its supporters, expanding its community and creating space when needed the most. Whether it’s for the kids skating on Fairfax or the FiveDay BBQs organized by Westside Five, the former LA flagship manager, The Hundreds, is always doing something for the community. And most importantly, there’s always a space or a plate for you.

That’s what makes The Benjamin so special. It represents the next step in the evolution of their expanding community. As we age, so does the block.

The generation that first loved the brand is growing older. We need a place to sit, share a bite with friends, and enjoy a craft cocktail. With The Benjamin, that space is finally here.

When I walked in, it was just that. The atmosphere was dark, moody, yet elegant. I was immediately greeted by the owner, Ben, who conversed with guests, seated them at their tables, and moved around the restaurant to welcome most, if not all, of the guests.

The service was excellent. Our water glasses were never empty, and everything came out quickly but was paced out nicely.

The standouts being my pornstar martini, the bread (it was so soft and warm), the burger (Cooked to perfection, we had to order two. The burger was excellent, I couldn’t share), and of course, the cookies & cream and an espresso martini with Japanese whiskey to cap off the night.

Incredible dinner, food was amazing and service was on point. the chicken liver was a great shareable, burger was the best in LA, gin and tonic was smooth.

It is in a great spot with a cute bar upstairs for afterwards, def a good spot to bring a squad to drink, eat, and have a good time.
