Great sushi bar with fresh fish, well-balanced flavors, and beautifully presented rolls. This time, it was a little different from what I expected. The rice was a little hard and there was a lot of it, so each portion felt large overall. This made the balance with the topping a little off, making it difficult to eat. I think it’s a matter of personal preference, but personally I would have preferred if the rice was a little lighter.

The service here was great. The waiter and possibly the owner?? were so attentive. We didn’t go without.
The food was good. They had a special lobster roll which was not my favorite. However, I also had the shrimp tempura roll and spicy tuna roll and loved both. Their garlic edamame is perfection!

Haha Sushi left us with a mixed bag of impressions. My Korean ramen was delightfully spicy, hitting just the right notes for a satisfying meal. Even my husband’s roll, equally fiery, pleased his palate. However, our dining experience took a downturn with our friends’ choices. One described her cooking roll as tainted by a lemony aftertaste reminiscent of cleaning products—an unfortunate twist on an otherwise promising dish.
The dessert, rated a modest 7.75, was decent enough but failed to leave a lasting impression. Atmosphere-wise, the restaurant fell short; it lacked the cozy charm or ambiance that often enhances a dining outing. What’s more, catching the attention of the waitstaff proved challenging. With time pressing, we resorted to trekking to the cash register to settle our bills—a practical but less-than-ideal end to our meal.
In summary, Haha Sushi offers some flavorsome dishes, but the overall experience left something to be desired. I’d rate it three stars—a place to satisfy a craving, perhaps, but not where I’d eagerly steer friends looking for a memorable dining experience.

I’m not sure what has happening this year but it has not been good. When ordering sushi, we have to specify “less rice” otherwise we are getting a mouthful of it with little other ingredients so ordering that way is fine (just weird that we have to). The $16 price of the Chicken Avocado salad is totally outrageous for what you get – chicken that seems to have been made earlier in the day, 2 cups of lettuce with some brownish leaves, sliced avocado, 2-3 small tomatoes and dressing. The Chicken Teriyaki bowl is just rice and chicken. No veggies – that’s an extra $3 on the hefty $15 bowl to begin with. The chicken has been so incredibly dry in both cases. We’ve ordered it multiple times so we gave a few chances. Perhaps chicken is not their specialty, which is should be because those are expensive items on the menu. Overall, I think we’re gonna give HaHa Sushi a break from our wallet and maybe improvements will be made next season.

Phone service got my order wrong again, when even the staff complain about the crappy quality service they pay for. Now the sketchy phone service is demanding payment up front. Until the phone service disappears done eating here. Been eating here since they opened and unfortunately the quality keeps going down while the price goes up and up.

Cute unassuming place in a busy strip mall. Our waiter was attentive and helpful (cute hair!). They had great recommendations and encouragement of our choices. I’d give the service 10 stars if I could. The sushi was excellent. Our meals arrived quickly and the portions are amazing. We will definitely be back.

Disappointed with our experience at Ha Ha Sushi in Orcutt, California. Living just blocks away, we were excited to dine in. However, the service fell short at every step. Despite ordering a large Japanese beer, it arrived sans glass. While my wife received her Ell Roll and we ordered an appetizer of shrimp, my Cowboy roll was forgotten. Though the manager rectified the mistake with Wasabi and ginger, the delay was frustrating. Eventually receiving my order, I was irked but maintained composure. The waitress overlooked my dinner until my wife finished hers. Even the payment process was flawed, returning without a pen for the credit card transaction. Despite the subpar service, I tipped 20% out of respect for the kitchen staff, recognizing their culinary prowess. Although the food was enjoyable, the dismal service left a bitter taste. With only four tables occupied, the focus seems to be on takeout, likely due to the poor in-person experience. While the sushi chefs shined, the waitress’s incompetence marred our evening. Leaving a handwritten note on the receipt, I doubt it will prompt improvement. Regrettably, I won’t be returning for dine-in service, opting for takeout to avoid further disappointment.
And for the worst waitress ever, I’ve written so you may understand why you should seek employment elsewhere and stop costing the owner customers.

The waiter offered to hold my baby so I can eat, these acts of kindness are rare these days , I’m happy that she proved to me the world still has some good in it . Also the food was amazing at a outstanding price
