What an eclectic little coffee shop in downtown Mandeville! Don’t expect drive through speed, but quality and attention to details with a great atmosphere is the reason to stop by! Breakfast items are available but didn’t try any of them. Local artists also sell their creations.
Will visit again when I’m back in town!

I cannot review “food” but i did have a coffee and it was terrific. The food options looked amazing, so i will return for an update! The staff was so sweet and full of life. I hesiststed to walk in as they were only open 20 more minutes, but they didn’t seem to mind at all. In fact, six more people walked in behind me and the employees were just as jovial! It’s a great place to sit and stay, especially for a girls day out.

The Bean! Coolest coffee shot in Mandeville in my opinion. From the moment when you walk in the door. I get this sense of feeling like I’m at home. The back court yard and patio puts you directly center. In the outdoors of historical old Mandeville. Oh mostly importantly the awesome Chef / owner Stefani. Is there daily whipping up the best sandwiches, soups around.

Nestled just a stone’s throw away from Mandeville Lakefront, The Book & Bean is a charming, cozy coffee shop with comfort of a local hangout. This delightful spot offers an array of locally sourced items for sale, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for patrons seeking solace by the serene lakefront.
The shelves at The Book & Bean are adorned with a decent collection of books where you might find something that piques your interest.
The coffee at The Book & Bean is top-notch. They have a variety of options and blends to choose from. The staff is friendly.
It’s not just a coffee shop; it’s a small slice of the community.

Updating review since it’s been far too long since I’ve been here. Originally I also gave it five stars but I never left any kind of comment.
One of the things people love to do at a coffee shop is relax, but many are smaller and have indoor seating only amidst a swarm of blenders and espresso machines. Book and Bean is a much quieter and personal affair where you can sit in a shared area outside. So even when the heat index is in the triple digits.
Awesome coffee and food selection and great place to unwind.
EDIT 2: I forgot to mention that the French Toast Muffin is amazing . Favorite thing to order with a nice cold brew

I stopped in here, because in my opinion, there is not much better than a book store combined with a coffee shop. Very cute. Evidently this is quite the hangout space. Employees are friendly, everything is neat, clean and well organized. Lots of locally sourced items for sale.
