Something you don’t see often around here, an authentic Egyptian restaurant. I’m always happy to try something new.
Turns out “Taza” means something fresh, new, just made. A perfect name as we discovered.
We ordered pick up through doordash- mombar, koshari with fried liver, meat stuffed green peppers, and baba ganoush. Incredibly large portions at VERY low prices (Mombar and two green peppers were $12.50 each, $15 40 and $6 for the baba ganoush). Everything was excellent.
Ordering through a service like doordash takes care of communication problems that used to occur when I tried calling in an order. And make sure to allow a lot of time, everything is prepared to order, if they say 30 minutes make it 40!
I’ll be ordering again.

Authentic Egyptian food that made me feel like I’m in a family reunion for dinner and not in a restaurant.
We tried the fried Eskendarani liver, koshari and mahshi and I highly recommend all of them.

Everything was fresh and made to order, so they can take longer than usual but it was worth it.

If you want one of the dishes that take time to cook, I suggest calling them before going to prepare because some of the famous dishes can take an hour or more.

My family was in the area visiting and we were craving Egyptian food. We ordered the ma7shi kroom (stuffed cabbage), koshari, and Alexandrian kibde with a plate of fries. Everything was extremely tasty and authentic. I really wish we lived closer! We will definitely be back to try some of the dishes that take longer to cook (you can call ahead). It’s a nice little family place, and there were a ton of people in and out for takeaway. If you want dine in, make sure you call ahead for the items that take longer because they make everything fresh (macarona bil bechamel, etc). We can’t wait to try more items on the menu! And after being stuffed with delicious food, we only paid $44.

Decided to give this place a try and all I can say is wow. This place is now my new go to restaurant for Egyptian/Mediterranean food. I had some family over and decided to order about 15 different meals to try everything as this was our first time trying this place out. When I went to pick up my food the people there were so nice. When I heard my total I was shocked, it was about half what I thought it was going to be! After getting home we opened everything up and it looked so good! We all started eating and passing everything around. Also if you are reading this before you order please make sure you add the basbousa(dessert) to your order. We finished it and wished we got 2-3 more of them. (Sorry for the bad photos we all started eating before we could take pictures)

Ordered takeout from this restaurant tonight and I must say, I’m very pleasantly surprised! It’s your perfect a hole in the wall, kind family establishment. The owners seem like genuinely caring people and the chicken shawarma was very flavorful! Even the fish fillet I ordered is delicious! You can tell this is solid, home-cooked food, free from all the heavy artificial outside food and flavoring. I’ll be back!!! ❤️

My aunt wanted to try Egyptian food and we stopped by for dinner at this friendly, casual spot. Met the chef/owner who made the most wonderful dishes for us! Ask what to order – we never would have known what to try, and wanted home style favorites. We had grilled branzino, grape leaves, an amazing green soup with braised meat (Molokhia), lentils and pasta (Koshari), pasta and meat bechamel, and a grilled sandwich (Hawawshi). Order ahead or make time to wait because this food is made fresh so takes time — it was a really great meal.

Extremely Bad Experience & Food Poisoning Warning

My mother and I ate fish from this place. While some items tasted okay, the tahini and basbousa were clearly spoiled. Shortly after eating, we both experienced severe stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. These symptoms have continued for nearly two weeks, which strongly indicates that the food was spoiled or poisoned. This is not a minor issue it caused serious harm to our health.

On top of that, the staff’s attitude was extremely unprofessional, with no care or respect toward customers. The man in the kitchen – should stay in the kitchen and never deal with customers. He was rude, mean, and very disrespectful. What made the situation even worse is that he was the only person working in the entire place, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness, food handling, and overall safety. In addition, the billing was completely wrong. I was charged incorrectly and made to pay twice in separate transactions, which is unacceptable and unprofessional. Yet, The prices are extremely overpriced for such low quality and unsafe conditions.

What is even more alarming is the poor hygiene. The kitchen and bathroom were visibly unclean, which raises serious concerns about food safety.

Due to the severity of what happened, I will be taking legal action regarding this incident.
I strongly warn others not to eat from this place. This was a dangerous and unacceptable experience

This place has the most authentic and most delicious Egyptian food you will ever find in this area!!! The food is home made with love by a mother who is generous enough to share her delicious cooking skills! Nivin is amazing! She was able to accommodate 30 people for my son’s 4th birthday party- take a look at the pictures!! She is amazing! The food was fresh, plenty to feed everyone, she was so sweet- she didn’t rush us even though we stayed past the closing time! Anything we asked, she accommodated and was generous! We even had tea and coffee after which really completes the meal. Everyone complimented how delicious and fresh the food was. I would definitely come here again for another small party for my family! You will not regret trying this Egyptian food!

The most disgusting food anyone can order. If i can give this place 0 stars, i would. the meat was dry and OLD. It gave such a bad after taste of old meat that my family didn’t touch the mix grill we had purchased because it was not good at all. Even the shawarma and sauce had a weird smell to it and left a horrible aftertaste.

I called and told the restaurant that their meat was bad and that it was old and she didn’t even acknowledge it. She just said that ALL meat smell old which I’ve never heard of, only bad old meat does. The customer service was horrendous. She apologized out of force at the end of the phone call and it didn’t sound genuine at all. DO not recommend at all.

This review is based on my delivery and food experience. I ordered dinner through grub hub. Waited 1 hour just to find that my wife’s order was missing . I called the restaurant and some Arabic speaking guy answered the phone. How do you have someone answer the phone that speaks no English. Finally gave up with him and had to submit a refund through grubhub. Now what? Guess my wife isn’t having dinner thanks to the careless employee. Stay away from this place. They don’t deserve any business
BTW . I ordered the Chicken Swarma platter and eggplant with sauce. The Chicken Swarma dish was cold and dry. The eggplant wasn’t too bad. I put
” NO SALAD ” In the notes and sure enough, they added salad to my dish. I’m sure they can’t read English either. What bothers me the most, is that nobody takes responsibility and makes things right. Getting an automatic refund via the grubhub app isn’t good enough. There needs to be a better way. The right way the restaurant should have handled this was to first have someone who speaks and understands English answer the phone and then send the missing item immediately. Getting a refund doesn’t make things right. Now my wife has to wait another hour if I order something else for her at another restaurant.

UPDATE: Offering an apology doesn’t make it right for a customer. The right way you should have handled this besides an apology and explanation of why this happened, would have been to offer your customer a full refund or to give them a voucher for a future order. That’s what a good business would have done. At this point, I do not want any vouchers or further credit. Its too late.
BTW you might want to check your website because it doesn’t work. I tried going to your website via my android phone and a message kept popping up stating that my connection is not private and someone might be trying to steal my information
