We love checking out different eateries sometimes great sometimes not so great, we didn’t know what to expect from Tsunami’s. After we took our first bite, my wife and I just about fell off our chairs!!! This place is amazing!!! We’re not from the area and it don’t matter we will make it a point to stop by Tsunamis every time we come to San Diego!! The staff were amazing the food was from out of this world!!! Shot out to Manny!! Great service very polite and informative!!!
We even got two more of the GOAT rolls to take home!!! Very much recommended!!!

We’ve been so happy with each dinning experience we’ve had at Tsunami! The service is excellent and their food extraordinary! The sushi is fresh and they have their own unique creations as well as the classics. Their tempura is a delight and the prawns are crazy good! If you’re a sushi fan, this is a must go!!!

Absolutely love this place. The vibe is modern and inviting, and the outdoor seating with fireplaces makes it feel extra special. The service is unbelievably fast and efficient (especially helpful when you’re with little kids). We were seated and served in no time, which made the whole experience so smooth and stress-free.
They have a great kids’ menu that actually tastes good and is just the right amount of food. And the sushi? Divine. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can really tell the restaurant is well managed, everything runs smoothly, it’s super clean, and the staff is on top of everything.
Parking is easy, and the location is super convenient. It’s honestly a hidden gem in Santee. Great for families, date nights, or just grabbing something really good. Highly recommend.

I wish I knew the waiter’s name, he was so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. We were there 8/19/25 about 1pm. It was our first time coming, and it won’t be our last. The food was fresh and so delicious. We drive over 30 minutes for our favorite sushi place, this one is a lot closer.

Probably the best sushi in the area (only sushi spot I visited here in Santee)! I would 100% recommend coming here during happy hour and get your moneys worth. I got the like sushi roll? and the tsunami or Tropicana… I forgot the names of I’m being honest but these were honestly so good. I haven’t had any rolls like these in other sushi spots.
The customer service was great! The homeboy came by and refilled us on drinks multiple times and gave us the best sushi roll recommendations. I do recommend getting the garlic edamame over regular salted.

Food and service here is FANTASTIC. I 10/10 would recommend the Tsunami Roll and Salmon Nigiri happy hour is available Monday-Friday 2pm-5pm. It’s safe to say I found a new go-to lunch spot near my house.

Probably the best sushi my husband and I have ever had. Very innovative with their menu and the flavors all go so well together. We got the G.O.A.T., El Jefe, and one other I can’t remember the name (steak and truffles). All three were unbelievable. Will definitely be back!

Tsunami is a delicious addition to the sushi options available in Santee! The staff was friendly, and our server Manny was very attentive. He constantly checked on us and refilled our drinks multiple times. The restaurant was clean and atmosphere inviting. The seating can be cramped at indoor tables, but patio seating with heaters is also available. The prices are comparable to other sushi restaurants nearby. They do offer a great variety of rolls you may not see elsewhere as well as some staple options.
The spicy edamame appetizer was fantastic! The sauce is so flavorful. The shrimp tostados were hearty portions with a zesty mix of ingredients. I admit I was surprised when they were served cold, though. The sushi rolls were fair sized and made well. We will definitely return to try more of their specialty sushi rolls.
