We walked in without a reservation and they made room for us, even though we inevitably wound up sitting at the bar. Our bartender was perfect in that she gave us our privacy but was attentive at the same time. The food was flavorful and the drinks were tasty. And the prices were the average price for a sushi place. And it did not smell fishy at all. However, we were informed on the nights where tuna neck is served. It does smell fishy, so consider this fare warning el definitely be back.

We got the Paradise roll and the Meriam Park roll. Both were absolutely fabulous! Also had the crispy Brussel sprouts. Our server was Kane, he did a wonderful job. So good, I can’t wait to return!

Worst service I’ve ever received at a restaurant. Waited an hour and a half for our rolls. It was probably a miscommunication between servers, and while they apologized, they didn’t offer any discount, just brought us an appetizer that we didn’t want and was no longer hot. The food itself was average. I like big tuna’s sushi better

Just moved to the area and this was our first sushi restaurant we tried. Came with no expectations but the previous reviews were very positive so we gave it a try. Walked in on Friday night around 8:30pm with no reservations. Restaurant was busy but not crowded. Seated very quickly. Kitchen was visible and not seeing a single asian cook/chef gave me some concerns. Menu had variety and we ordered a mixture of sushi and hot entree. Spicy butter edamame was amazing. The crispy brussel sprouts were equally tasty and amazing. The sushi rolls were fresh and also amazing. The salmon teriyaki dinner was also…amazing. Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared, cooked, and presented. Pretty sure we found our go-to sushi restaurant for Chico but will keep trying other sushi restaurants just to make sure. Nama Sake rivals any of the fine sushi restaurants in LA and San Francisco.

I just tried this place last night and LOVED it! We ordered the Green Acres, Noelle, Snow Flake and the Shrimp Tempura! Delicious! Omg! Amazing! My mouth is watering just thinking about my next time going there! 10/10 would recommend!

Came in at 8pm on a friday night with a reservation and there was not to many people. I liked the atompshere with the fake fish fossil. It has a very modern look. The drink selection was very strange, including a mint drink and a cherry drink. It took about 30 – 40 minutes for the food to get here but I have to admit it was preety good. The plating on the shashimi was very exquisite. Brussel sprouts were the best I have ever had. Chicken was very crispy but a little to moist for me. Paradise rolls had very flavorful shrimp. The ingredients are very high quality. My only complaint is that the chicken was to moist and the drink selection was not very good.

Wow delicious!
Came down to celebrate our anniversary and we enjoyed everything including our drinks which by the way were strong but yummy!
We will definitely be back to try that bone marrow.
Not in picture is our fried cheesecake and drinks.

Walked in at 5pm, sat without a reservation. Within 30 min, place was packed and I saw people waiting.

Started with Hamachi Tacos. Fish was fresh and good but no flavor to really make dish a wow factor.

Bone marrow was amazing. Cole slaw was literally cabbage and mayo.

Nigiri was amazing. I just did a review at another place saying they had best salmon nigiri but this place blew them out of the water. Mouth watering chu toro and o toro, $18 for 2 pc but my goodness, last time I had this quality was in Japan.

Ramen broth was fantastic, rich and flavorful. Ramen noodles however did not stand out. Thin wavy type with hard texture.

This is my new favorite sushi place. The Noelle roll was amazing. Sweet with crisp apples and lemon with a bird’s nest on top made of roasted leeks, it was both very refreshing and unique. Everything was beautiful and detailed. The blue fin tuna was excellent as well. We tried a few more rolls but between my wife and I we were very full after splitting three rolls but we managed to finish all four!

We didn’t try any cocktails because it’s Wednesday but the green tea was only okay. They need a better tea kettle for the table and more of a selection would be nice, right now green tea is the only option and we didn’t see it on the menu.

All and all it was a little under $100 for all 4 rolls and tea with tax and tip. I would say it’s worth it. This is the new best sushi place in Chico in my opinion.
