I got the light soup with goat meat. Listen, I’m Nigerian but this was some of the best food I’ve eaten in a very long time. I also got the beef suya. Let’s just say I will be licking my fingers all the way home. Delicious food and sweet employees! I will be back!

I’m from out of town and was looking for some good Egusi soup and this was the closest place to my hotel. When I walked in, I smelt something burning And I could hear someone in the back clearly scraping a pot really hard Like when you burn the bottom of a pot and you have to scrape off the burnt stuff.

I was thinking to myself I hope that’s not my food!! Once I got back to my hotel I realized it must have been my food. The Egusi Soup I was given was Extremely burnt tasting like it was the bottom of the pan and tasted and looked very dark in color and old! I would not return here when I’m in town! This Egusi soup, because of the burntness and old taste, I’m gonna give it a 2/10

I also noticed that the girl who was in the back making the food was using these black gloves that I saw her clearly back there cleaning up with. She was making the food with the same gloves on and then came to the front to handle the register and get me checked out with the same black gloves on that had her nail busting through one of them. You guys have to do better or someone’s gonna get sick

Ordered light soup which comes with protein, either fish, chicken, or goat. I chose goat and chicken. Why did these ppl put fried chicken in light/goat soup? The most nastiest soup ever had. I threw everything out bc the taste was not good at all. I called the store and spoke to Summer about the issue and she said that’s how it’s made. I’m African & have never in my 30 years of living ate fried chicken light soup. Ewww.

I was at East Brunswick and this restaurant was one of the closest African restaurants to where I lodged.
The restaurant has a wide variety of meals (mostly Africa dishes) – jollof rice, waakye, banku, yam, riceballs, TZ, fufu etc. The chefs are good and their meals are really sumptuous.

The only downside was that I had to wait a bit longer for my meal to be ready.

I enjoyed the food and I will certainly be back.
I love this restaurant because you kinda feel the African vibe once you get in here.

Guys get in there and enjoy yourself .

My husband has always been dying to try fufu and we never found it in the south. Stumbled upon this gem.
The woman working was so sweet!
The loud music and colors were vibrant and upbeat.
The food was AMAZING.
We got jollof rice with beef and fufu with light soup and goat meat. The soup was delicious. The fufu was amazing. The jollof rice was filling and flavorful.
We also tried a juice drink that was fruity and had a slight heat from ginger.
In summary, the experience of a new cultural dish was amazing.

We stumbled over this place on Über and decided to give it a shot, we were definitely impress with the food and then getting our orders correct. Since then we have ordered there at least 4 or 5 more times and has always met our expectations. The jollof and Waakye are both flavorable and the goat meat is tender, not too hard to chew. The fish is always well fried. I tried the light soup and it wasn’t really what I’m used to but I’ll definitely give it another shot. Overall I do recommend this

Excellent food and welcoming atmosphere. Our first time there, we celebrated my daughter’s 14th birthday! My daughter chose to dine here and it was the best time! They sang her Happy Birthday and it was a blast! I have no words than can express my gratitude for such a warm and attentive service! Thank you so much! Many Blessings to the staff and owner! Thank you!

This is my second time at this restaurant, the owner and stuff are very friendly and go out of their way for the customers, I love it! The Banku and Okra were delicious but the meat was really tough to chew. The jollof rice with fried goat was really good but again the meat was very tough. I also got bitter greens with white rice which was amazing, I highly recommend!
