I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy during a recent camping trip. The biscuit was wonderfully fluffy, and the sausage gravy had a good flavor, though it leaned a bit salty for my taste. Still, I’d definitely order it again. It’s such a treat to enjoy a warm meal without having to cook while camping.

Only place in the park with cell phone reception, FYI. Restaurant still advertised in some places hasn’t been running since COVID. Limited hours at the camp store and was closed for 2 hours during an all staff meeting during the season. Wonderful hiking park, but definitely prep for ticks and check self after. Cabins are awesome!

A nice restaurant in the middle of the park. Not what you would expect for such a remote location. They have done an excellent job of creating a warm inviting atmosphere. Beautiful views of the lake really add to the ambiance. The food and service were both excellent.

Usually a great experience and good food. My last visit was the worst. Got seated right away. No menu, looked online at table at menu. Not terribly busy, not half full with looked like four servers. Five, ten minutes then a server asked if i had order taken, no i hadn’t. She would get a server. They were cleaning tables beside me, small talking, taking other orders. Fifteen, twenty minutes, i was hungry and wanted to fish. I went to register and ordered. Food came order was short i got refill once, kids none. I went to register to pay without the ticket. Very bad service this time. I grew up in that restaurant ’71-84, was almost born in that kitchen. We lived in the back. My mother would have not stood for that service to happen. My grandfather ran the concessions starting in 1954, i think. And then my parents until 1984. It is run all by the state now. Always home.

Worst place I have ever ate at. They wouldn’t keep the salad bar restocked and when we would say anything about putting any food out they kept say it was coming, never did see any food. So I tried to order a hamburger or chicken sandwich the young waitress said they didn’t have any buns. So I had to get the salad bar with hardly any food on it. Wasn’t to busy maybe five other tables. When I went up to pay I asked to talk to the manager he was rude and didn’t even apologize for anything. He blamed it on the waitress but it wasn’t her fault. I will never go back there.
