It started as a fun experience, although the bartender was not really interested in providing us service most likely because we were from out of town. But nonetheless he made our drinks timely and serviced us timely. The most disappointing thing was I had a bag with a gift that I bought in town that I hung from my chair. My son and I went to play pool and after playing came back to the chair and the bag was gone. I asked the bartender if I he knows where the bag went but the bartender said he had no idea where the bag was and never saw it. This may be true. We did ask to see the video but were refused and told it doesn’t record. Although it was a 25 dollar t shirt it is the principle. So just be aware that when you go in as a tourist you are not as important as locals and product your valuables. I wouldn’t recommend this place to any out of towner’s it is truly just for the locals and they make that clear.

Had a wonderful time here! We were so glad to visit and spend time with the bartender who was lovely to talk to on a Monday night.

My husband and I had such a great time here, we went out of our way to come back the next night! Bartender and owner Brad was super friendly and we really enjoyed the conversations we had! Great place to grab a drink, especially if you enjoy learning and chatting with the locals.

Guy behind the bar was very grouchy, seemed annoyed we were there. We hung out and bought drinks for several hours and noticed one of our bags was missing. He refused to look into the issue and was dismissive and asked us to leave the property. Seemed as if he was favoring the bar locals and didn’t care

Authentic, no frills, mountain/mining bar. It’s got one bar with about 10 seats, shuffleboard and pool. Handful of high tops. I knew exactly what I was getting into and it hit just like a backwoods country bar from where I grew up. Be ready for locals, no craft beer on tap, no local beer, but local charm and a dark bar at night. This is a night cap type of place. Cheers.

GOOD TIME / POOR REVIEWS ARE LOSERS. Had a wicked time here. Very authentic American mountain town bar, great beers and an open juke box! Brad the owner is very friendly told us all about the local area. we had a great time with the locals playing pool and shuffle board. The poor reviews in relation to this place are completely missing the point. It’s a straight to the point bar, if you don’t wanna bar don’t go to a bar. The toilets are fine, the decor is great, the drinks are a lil expensive but you’re on top of a mountain the bloody hell you expect, Cheers for everything Brad! George from London / Hailey from KC

Rude and unprofessional staff. This place gives a vibe that they do not want you there. I would skip this place because I really do not think they want your business.

Walked in with my medical alert dog. Owner said “no dogs”, I advised she’s working. He said “but is she working now” I said yes. He served us, but then Walked over to his friends and started talking about me. My husband finished his drink and set it on the bar. No one acknowledged us again. Everywhere else in this town has been fantastic

This was the most awkward, awful exchange and experience I have had anywhere! The bartender was disinterested, completely rude and annoyed by us entering. He would not engage, or smile. He would not help with a selection. There was an awkward silence when we entered. Zero eye contact or nicety. Just stood in front of us waiting for an order. No music, or even jovial chatter from the two other tables. We even asked the guy if he was alright. He started blankly and said ‘sure’ and then walked away. He complained with profanity about the way his bar was set up when we asked for a particular bourbon. He went outside to smoke twice while we finished a cocktail. He sat and ate at the bar while we waited to pay. 1/2 of our party wouldn’t order drinks to push along our stay. We asked ‘when’s the live music’ that was paired on the door of the crypt we entered. ‘9’ he said and walked away. I doubt it. No way anyone would patronize this place intentionally. We are business owners in service and food and beverage and if this was an employee of ours he would have been fired without a blink. The life sucking environment, disgusting red carpet, filthy bathroom with curtains instead of doors should have been closed by the health department. F across the board. If your the owner and reading this, he never gave us his name, he was working on Tuesday night 9/12/23 at 8 pm.
