So delicious!! I’ve been craving taco’s but no longer. These are crunchy but not too much to where it falls apart after the first bite. Made perfectly. Well worth the cost. Service is excellent. We ordered a 12 pack. Was ready in under 10 minutes. I highly recommend La Birria

This truck is definitely the talk of the town these days so I had to check it out and see if it lives up to the hype. The line wasn’t to bad as we got there at 1105 because the truck sells out fairly quick and we didn’t want to miss out.
Once we ordered it took about 5 minutes to get our 12 pack and be on our way, we live close to the truck and decided to eat at home but you could just as easily sit in the parking lot if you really wanted. The truck is in the Sears parking lot by Chili’s so there’s a ton of parking.
The tacos alone had a decent flavor, onion , cilantro, queso, and the meat. Shredded beef that was pretty moist. The dipping sauces very what seemed to be caring levels of heat. The one these more red seemed hotter than the other. The hot one wasn’t overwhelming where you couldn’t eat and enjoy. It had some heat but more of a slow flavorful increase over time.
Overall a good experience, we had extra tacos because they definitely packed the tacos with meat and cheese. Enough for a second meal the next day. Very satisfied and we’ll eat there again.

So we kept hearing about this food truck and we finally decided to go try it after seeing a long lines. We ordered the mild tacos and hellfire tacos and a side of saimin. Well the tacos were very small; three itty bitty mild tacos for 12 bucks or two itty bitty hellfire tacos for 12 bucks. The taste was just ok, nothing special they were very oily or greasy. There was no cilantro. For the life of me I cannot understand why food truck food cost more than restaurant food and they have a tipping jar out. I really have a hard time understanding this new tipping culture where you tip everybody for everythingeverything. Don’t get me wrong the food is not horrible and I wouldn’t mind trying it again but not for these prices. Three tacos of this size should be around seven or eight bucks and two tacos should be around five bucks or four bucks. Over hyped.

Finally had a chance to sink my teeth into these birria tacos and they did not disappoint. We got an order of the regular tacos, Hell Fire tacos and the birria ramen. Loved the flavor and tenderness of the meat. Warning…the Hell Fire tacos are HOT but so good. As was the ramen. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

You can use Grubhub to order from the Aiea location. The phone number on the website for both locations is ONLY for the Chinatown location so dont use that if youre picking up from Aiea.
Love their Birrias! We order the 12 pack for the fam and everyone enjoys it!

I bought the Birria Queso $12 pack.
It only came with 3 short, fried tacos.
The taco itself was plain, the dipping sauce was literally water. It had no taste, no spicy surprise, no tangy hint.
The portions of the plate was a major turn-off.
For the price of $12 I can buy something from Taco Bell that can get me satisfied.
I haven’t tried the hell pack-$55, because I’m not spending that much for only 12 tacos tf
Try them if you want, if not, you’re not missing out.

This was my husbands favorite place to eat when we lived in Aiea.
The tacos were messy but delicious. The meat is so tender and juicy, we haven’t been able to find a place on the mainland nearly as good. Friendly and fast staff. We miss it here! Definitely the place to visit for a fast snack or meal if you’re on island!!

We waited for nearly 2hrs and 1/2 during opening day. We got 2 birria pck, hochata, and add saimin which came to a total of $34.55. For that long of a wait, the food was mediocre. I wanted to give a better review as I travel and see multiple places but in can’t in this instance. In one order there were 3 tacos about 3 inches. Each corn shell was filled with shreded beef dipped in the birria sauce. The plate had lime and the consummé sauce. When I took a bite into, it was a bit rubbery and dry. Then I hit the lime and dipped the taco into the conummé which is why I gave it 2 stars because the consummé saved this dish, consumme flavor is 5. Hochata was ok, too much ice hence it was empty in a couple of sips. With all the hype, I expected a better experience. Personally the price for the meals wasn’t worth it for me. I left still hungry after spending $35. Hence I went to Manoa and got a lobster sandwich with fries. I dont see myself returning wich is unfortunate.

We finally got a chance to try this truck. They are located in the old Sears parking lot at Pearlridge. Perfect location!
We ordered the Birria Tacos with Consomme and Birria Saimin. The Birria Tacos was what we expected… Delicious! The Birria Saimin was okay, not what we expected. I think it’s because it tasted really greasy or oily. They keep the noodles separate so you can pour the consomme in. Love that! I’m glad we got to try it. We plan on coming back for the tacos with Consomme.
I would say, you should try this truck. Prices are reasonable and it will feel you up.

I had the 3 taco plate and it didn’t disappoint. The meat was very tender and the consommé was delicious. We got there as soon as they opened and didn’t have to wait but the line does get long so plan accordingly. I only gave it four stars because location can be difficult, there are only a few picnic tables to eat at, and you may not have a place to sit. These are tacos you definitely don’t want to eat in your car! There were no trash cans available, so we had to take it with us. Also, I think adding a bit more cilantro and onion would have brightened up the tacos because the marinated beef and sauce can be a bit heavy and greasy.
