Welp, This past Sat/Sun, I was in Ocean City cat sitting for my sister. I was craving some of Thrashers delicious fries w/vinegar as I’ve had them every summer as a kid since the 70’s. I decided to go to Thrashers around 7pm. They must have closed at 6pm because I couldn’t get any. I can say that Thrasher’s is a must visit whenever you find yourself in O.C. Just be sure to check their off-season hours. Here are some other classic must-visit food spots nearby: Dumser’s Dairyland, Fisher’s popcorn & Candy Kitchen. Enjoy!

Come here to enjoy no queue and absolutely no wait.
The Thrasher’s near the parking lot is always crowded and a long wait to get your fries.
Come here to get your fries quicker
The vinegar on the fries enhances the taste and takes it to a whole new level.
We loved it.

I went in knowing this is a staple of Ocean City, but I was quite disappointed. Most of the fries were soggy and/or greasy. You would think for the price, they would be the Godliest fries ever made but unfortunately not. I went to two other places that also served fries (along with other food) and they were better.

Bucket list for OCMD! These amazing fries are a must! Don’t mind the wait or line, they will be worth it! The guys moved quickly, and they stack these babies way over the top of the container! You can add vinegar and more salt at the end. Take napkins! Crispy and so good! They have a couple of locations along the boardwalk. This one in the late morning had no line when we ordered but one quickly formed by the time we grabbed and we’re gone!

The atmosphere was good. It’s right at the beginning of the boardwalk. The service was blah. It was almost like they were doing us a favor. The French fries were undercooked and soggy. We got 1 small and 3 mediums for $40. We tried to eat them, because they were so expensive but thought we were eating unhealthy food that didn’t even taste good. I think I mistook them for Boardwalk Fries. Don’t waste your money on Thrasher’s Fries.

These are definitely good fries, nice and thick cut. I read many reviews and agree they are good, but being from fair country they are reminiscent of fair fries. We also love to dredge our fries in salt and vinegar and they usually are not as thick, but just as tasty. I would get them again, but thought them average.

The staff was friendly & good service . It wasn’t too busy when I was on the boardwalk. The fries it self was “ok” you will need ketchup (which they don’t have) or need a lot salt & vinegar to give it some flavor

We had it at ocean city boardwalk! It’s a must try when you go there. I love that we get to add vinegar on top , it actually tastes really good! I had it 2x in one day , and they are brimming up to the top

I was really looking forward to trying Thrasher’s French Fries in Ocean City after hearing so much about them, but unfortunately, they didn’t live up to the expectations.
The fries were overly greasy and lacked the crispiness I was hoping for. They tasted bland, even with vinegar, and didn’t have much flavor or seasoning. The texture was also a letdown—some were soggy while others felt overcooked.
The long wait and high price made it even more disappointing. I understand it’s a local staple and some people love the tradition, but for me, the quality and taste just didn’t justify the hype.
Not something I’d go back for.
