We just ate there and the food was fabulous. The service was fabulous. I lived in San Diego for over 30 years and this food is way better than any Mexican food I’ve ever ate. Definitely better than any Mexican restaurant in Pittsburgh or Mount Pleasant. Give them a try as they bend over backwards to make you happy. Every time we’ve been there, they have been outstanding.

We were unsure about visiting a cafe inside of a convenience store, but when we walked in, we were made to feel right at home. They made us feel welcome and even made fresh sweet tea just for us! They helped us with our order to make sure that we got just what we wanted to eat. The food was delicious and reasonably priced as well. So happy we found this yummy place to eat close to the state park! It was nice to be able to buy snacks there too.

I’m not from here but camped at the lake. There are some very terrible reviews about service, but I cant quiet tell if they are referring to current or previous ownership. So I tried it either way, and as Nov 2025, and I enjoyed it. The staff was very pleasant and very nice, and I had nothing but a pleasant interaction. So nice in fact, I wanted to make sure to give a good review to help out the average because it is undeserved.
I had the green spagetti and it was very good. It took a short little bit because it was cooked fresh by the lady.
There’s not a whole lot of options in the direct immediate area, so if you are there and looking for some good cooked just for you food, not let the terrible reviews scare you away… not a single thing I read from them in any way resembles my experience.
5 star restraunt? No. But great home cooked fresh real food that you can pop in and order to-go (there are some seats… but its more like gas station that sales food.
As far as the convienence store part – not much in there. Small section of basic drinks. Maybe some chips. Really not much there.
Its also a bait shop – I know nothing at all about that… I saw lots of stuff ♂️ . Don’t know what the stuff is. But grab some lunch when you pick up your bait.
Gas pumps dont work.

Sweetest people, very good food. Enjoyed it very much. We are here in the state park for 3 days and plan on eating there again. Very nice place to eat while out in the countryside

This place is just outside the State Park. You can buy gas supplies and delicious authentic Mexican food. Daily specials and happy hours. The staff are bilingual one of the ladies husband is in the same condition as mine ..battling 4th stage cancer. It’s clean smells fresh we got a huge serving of dinner came again for breakfast yummy the pancakes are like homemade so so good. We will be back.
