I went to the bar and was greeted by the bartender Janette. She was awesome. Very knowledgeable about the area. Janette was not only very kind she made me feel very comfortable with interesting conversation and the best drinks I have had in a long time. I would come visit her again.

I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and it was really good! Our waitress was attentive and kind. The prices aren’t too bad for the area so I’d definitely come here for a good lunch 🙂 and I was jammin to the music so 10/10 just for whoever had the aux cord!

Honestly a great cozy breakfast spot right at the bottom of the hotel which makes it super convenient if your trying to get something to eat either first thing in the morning or at the end of your night, the food is also super good so you can’t go wrong with anything you pick!

There is a reason that this place is a quiet restaurant in the middle of the busiest tourist part of Newport.
The food isn’t good.
Small menu that is expensive even for the tourist area. Salad with chicken was $15. Small portion with few of the strawberries and other goodies that were supposed to be in it.
Hamburgers are $18.
Soup was good at $9.
Oh and they charged me $2 for the bread I requested.
Seating is on the water and pretty.
Not sure why the service was so slow. They had lots of waiters and not that many customers.
Trust me. Go somewhere else.

2 days ago wife and I go to outside bar for a drink. Bar wasn’t full, one table and everyone had drinks. Bartender (Janette maybe? Nametags too small to read) she’s an older woman, practically ignored us. Wouldn’t make eye contact, nothing. And we sat dead center of the bar. For a good 10 minutes. Then some guy walks up to the bar and orders a few beers for his table and she helps him. After helping him, she still doesn’t help us for a couple more minutes. Lucky for us Scott came to the bar to help.
He was great. Helped us immediately. Unfortunately when we wanted a second drink Scott was off running food and she did it again. She wouldn’t make eye contact, even picked up her phone to check it! Again, someone came up to order and she helped them immediately. When Scott returned he helped us out.
Not sure what we did to offend this woman but terrible service.

My classic margarita was perfect. Lord knows I love Don Julio and my friend had the aquidneck slide which was a mudslide with ice cream of course. We locals do enjoy a good mudslide and that one knocked it out of the park. My only gripe would be our bartender was not very friendly and there was an obnoxious black lab in the outdoor seating area kept barking. I love dogs but seriously why must they be everywhere on this island?
