This place does not take allergies seriously. If you have a food allergy, especially a severe one, I strongly recommend staying far away.
I clearly indicated my allergy — it was even printed on the receipt attached to the bag. I am highly allergic and have celiac disease. Before eating the food, I called to confirm it was safe, and I was told it “should be fine.” That was completely incorrect. The item contained gluten. Had I eaten it, I could have ended up in the hospital.
To make matters worse, when I contacted the owner, I was told it was my fault for choosing something that had gluten — even though it was not stated anywhere on Uber Eats. That response is unacceptable and incredibly irresponsible when someone’s health is at risk.

The food at Tomatillo Taco Joint is always packed with flavor, and this visit was no exception. The space is clean, spacious, and inviting, with great service to match. There’s some parking available outside, though it can be a bit tricky during peak times.
The Food:
I ordered the Chorizo Quesadilla—it was very good, cooked fresh to order, and served hot. It was a little greasy, but hey, that’s just chorizo being chorizo. My daughter had a Steak Bowl, loaded with her favorite toppings, and she couldn’t stop raving about it. She even said it was the best one she’s had! Both dishes were seasoned perfectly and full of delicious flavor.
The Only Downside:
As longtime Tomatillo fans, we’ve noticed the portion sizes have gotten significantly smaller compared to years past, even though the prices have stayed about the same. That being said, the quality remains consistently high, so we really can’t complain too much.
Overall:
Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely keep coming back!

I ordered a Burrito Bowl. What I always get. The first thing they ask is “would you like a Tortilla in it?” Today, she didn’t bother to ask so I told her, she ignored me. A tiny scoop of rice, small scoop of chicken, some cheese and a mound of Chili…$20.00!!

I’m putting a star for the good food. Honestly I wish there was another location to go to because every time I go in and order food the man putting my food together always has this look as if I’m bothering him and is short with his responses. Today was really the straw that tipped the camels back for me , when I asked him what kind of sauces they had (since they aren’t labeled ) he looked at his coworker and shook his head.

Like many of the reviews here, I agree with the stingy portions! I ordered tacos and they put a small scoop, filling 1/3 of the shell, with ground beef. I asked him to put more beef in it, and he replied “I’m gonna have to charge you extra.” Now, I am not even one of those extra meat, meat lover kind of people. Just asking for a normal size taco that covers the shell. I only get cheese and lettuce on my tacos. I don’t think I was overdoing it with this request!
The time before this, I ordered a taco salad which comes with crushed chips on top. She put the equivalent of 2 chips, and when I asked for more, she gave the same answer. Are 5 tortilla chips rather than 2 really going to make the restaurant go bankrupt? Who ever the owner is that is instilling the stingy service….you should really change it or you will continue to drive away customers! The food is good so it’s a shame. Good service will bring back customers time and time again.

Last time here for me. Portion size was shockingly small. Almost walked out despite asking for her to actually fill up the bowl as it should be. Nothing more or less other than her poor poor judgement. . No measurements. No scales. Just Attitude back and no tip. Good luck. Chipotle from now on. Sorry owner. Get better help even though it’s tough. Life is too short for this poor experience. Find a better place……

Everything was very fresh at this location. I was happy to see that they had to vegetarian options. The Falafel burrito bowl I ordered was very tasty. I have also had their tacos with various meats. There is plenty of place to sit and the serve both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. They even do catering!
