This authentic Italian restaurant is a hidden gem!! You must be specifically looking for it as it is not on a main road, nor does it have a big sign. Once inside we were seated quickly by a large window. We had a lovely view of the Concho River. Our server provided a sizeable wine list. This restaurant serves wine & beer only – no liquor/cocktails. They brought warm bread & a seasoned oil & balsamic vinegar mixture. We ordered the Seafood Risotto & Branzino dishes. They were both delicious!! For dessert – we ordered a selection of filled croissants to go. Overall – this was a great experience & a perfect date night spot. We will definitely return for special occasions!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My husband and I had a wonderful experience dining here! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming and romantic , and the staff was attentive without being overwhelming. We had a 4 course meal but The menu had a great variety of options, and everything we ordered came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in quality ingredients and great execution. What stood out most was the excellent service — friendly, professional, and genuinely focused on making sure guests enjoy their visit. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual meal or celebrating something special, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

When you walk in it feels like walking out of San Angelo and into a classy little safe haven. The atmosphere is lovely with soft music, white linen table clothes, the view of the river is picturesque, the service is to tier. Our server Diana gave perfect recommendations we had the 4 cheese gnocchi with chicken, the salmon gazpacho salad, the salmon and shrimp Florentina and of course croissants for dessert! It was so perfect couldn’t ask for a better date night!

Had shrimp and calamari app. Both of which were frozen product. Ordered gnocchi and chicken , and chicken Alfredo. Chicken was flavorless. Almost like it was pouched or steamed. And based on the poor apps, I highly doubt any pasta is cooked fresh. This was basically an over rated Olive Garden. And please stop using rocks glass as a water glass… for an establishment that seems to specialize in pasta…The chef has a lot of learning to do in homemade pasta, flavor, and freshness. I wish you all put the same effort into the entrees, as you do the dessert.
Carefully prepared in house frozen seafood.. That’s a first hearing this literally from freezer to fryer…. How much more careful can you be ?
And no, I’m not a restaurant owner. Nor should that make a difference. But I am someone who has very strong knowledge in this industry, who appreciates a good dining experience, and a passionate chef.

This is our favorite place in San Angelo! The food, service, and environment are top tier! What a special place for us to have here. I only wish they were open in the mornings to sell their croissants, but instead I’ll just have to keep getting them in the evening to take to work the next day.

Officially my favorite place to go for REAL Italian cuisine in the CV are if not all West Texas. As someone who lived in Italy for a year, this is the best thing I have found around here by far. Chef Tony is a masterclass chef and restaurateur, carving his own path of culinary impact. Everything we got from appetizers to entrees to dessert and even the wine was splendid! The service was great, the ambience was great, the memory we have is great. We will be back here many times again for quality, value, and service like this. So many more things on this menu I still wish to try!

Biga Bistro never disappoints! My meal was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The mushroom risotto was rich and flavorful and the steak was cooked to perfection. The butternut squash cream soup was incredibly smooth, and I finished this perfect meal with an amazing tiramisu.
The service is always outstanding, but this time, Tony and his wife personally took care of us, making the experience even more special. If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience, I highly recommend Biga Bistro!

I made a reservation almost a week in advance for Valentine’s Day at what’s considered one of the most recommended restaurants in San Angelo. My boss and I are far from home, and spending Valentine’s Day together was important to us, so we were really looking forward to the evening.
When we arrived, I gave the hostess my name and reservation confirmation. It appeared there was a mistake, and another party had been seated at our reserved table. While I was showing her my confirmation messages, another group walked in and was seated before us while we were still standing there waiting. The hostess then went to the table that had been seated in our spot and started asking them about their details while we were still left standing in heels, dressed up, and waiting for at least 10 minutes without any communication.
After waiting several more minutes and watching another party get seated before us. As she was frantically walking around. I approached her politely let her know that if there wasn’t a table available for us, that was completely okay — we understand it was Valentine’s Day and that mistakes happen. I told her we could simply go somewhere else. She assured me there was a table and that she was trying to figure out what happened.(which is totally fine i just we both just can’t wrap our heads around why she had to figure that out before seating us) why Eventually, we were seated.
However, once seated, no one greeted us, no one apologized for the confusion or the wait, and we sat there for quite some time without even receiving water. At that point, we decided to leave before ordering anything.
I would have absolutely come back if it had simply been an honest mistake handled with communication or care. Unfortunately, the situation was never made right, and the experience felt disorganized and dismissive on a night that meant a lot to us. We ended up spending our Valentine’s Day elsewhere.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively so future guests don’t have a similar experience.
