Here’s a hole in the wall, local, authentic Mexican taco place. Named after the owners Mom. This is an amazing place for crunchy tacos. Get the surf and turf crunchy taco. Be sure to load it up with their homemade hot sauce, and get the side of dipping sauce to go with. What’s it called?? Daaamn it’s good!

Came here after seeing so many videos and wanted to give it a shot. The food is pretty good. The consome you see in the pic is in a 4oz cup they charge a $1 for but it’s not even filled up half ways. So there’s that. We had ordered a quesabirria and a regular birria taco but were charged for 2 quesabirria tacos and when I mentioned this to the clerk he said I got you lol I’ll throw in another consome and I’m like well I guess or give me back the dollar that was over charged. Got the consome and you can see it was only full 2oz. We asked the other gentleman for ingredients for the tacos and he very kindly gave us a full 4oz cup full of onion nd cilantro, that was awesome, thank you sir!

Wow, what a gem! Drove from SF for this birria taco joint and left thoroughly impressed! The flavors were out of this world – the cheesy tacos were a delight, and the birria was packed with rich, savory flavor. Make sure you try the surf and turf, quesabirria and horchata!

But what really made my experience stand out was the warm and welcoming staff. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about their food. The vibe was lively and inviting, too. If you’re a birria lover or just looking for a delicious taco, do yourself a favor and check this place out! 5 stars and can’t wait to come back!

Super cool and friendly staff, homie recommended the quesabirria and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. The sauce they give you on the side was very tasty and made the quesabirria taste even better. Easy place to park at and definitely recommend calling in the order in advance.

Nothing worth eating except quesabirria. Al pastor, beans/rice and even the consome need improvements. Not for Mexican food ONLY QUESABIRRIA. Birria taco, quesadilla however you like it yes it’s good. Everything else is trash down to the hole in the wall location. No restroom, no water to drink, no hand sanitizer, no forks??, no salsas/hot sauce except super spicy habanero, no parking.
Everything is so cheap there’s no plates so I was eating the soggy paper my food was served on. One trick pony kitchen. Saturday night at dinner time was empty at 6 o’clock. Horchata has granules of spiced rice “homemade” still not my favorite.

To the owner: A little cholula on the tables, a pitcher of water, hand sanitizer (we’re eating tacos with our hands) and some actual plates and utensils would go along way.

Big Disappointment

This place has been on my list for some time now. I’ve been trying to get to this place the last 4 trips down to the bay area after seeing an IG Influencer post about their experience. Which I must say was very compelling. I was sold.

Unfortunately this place was a huge huge disappointment. I ordered the taco combo plate with rice and beans.

Issues I experienced:

• room temp rice
• cold beans (tasted like canned beans)
• birria tacos were chewy and tasted like they were from the other day
• service was beyond poor. Unwelcoming, short demeanors and “mmmildly” condescending.

I definitely would not eat here again, definitely would recommended this place. There are MANY places now serving quesa birria tacos.

Was really looking forward to this place after having been thru the bay area without stopping the previous 4 trips. Oh well ‍♂️

Best tacos I have ever eaten.
The birria and shrimp combination on the surf-N-turf taco was outstanding.

I feel like I might have come on an off day because the consommè and birria was so salty. If it had less salt it would have been perfect.
Also, I think they make their own horchata (I don’t think it’s the powder) so that’s good, just too sweet for me.
I’ll definitely give this place a go again, I have hope!
