Tried this place out because I had friends who were guest bartending and really enjoyed it. Bright atmosphere, great food, and inexpensive prices. Definitely worth checking out. Picture is of the smash burger as a wrap with a side of fries.

I can’t say enough about this place, but what made it for me was the bartenders. Brie, James and Joseph are amazing, Joseph makes the best mojito outside of south beach Miami, and the hospitality is unmatched. I don’t normally post things like this, however. This one deserved the recognition. Show up, come spend some money at this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Fun little dive bar on James island. Great food, great beer and great people. That’s all you need. One of our favorite places to hang out when the family gets together.

Food was unexpectedly well presented and delicious. It is a bar and the menu is mostly bar food, but good bar food. Seating is limited to make space for the pool table. Could be a fun place. I hope they make it and continue to develop the menu. Additional cushioned bench seating would be a plus. We’ll go back.

Wow! This little hole in the wall beat all expectations. It is certainly one of those places “where the locals go” for great atmosphere, food, and drink. Really can’t say enough. Amazing food and service. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, and a special shout out to the kitchen; mouths watered with every bite.

The restaurants at Folly Beach were crowded and the beach traffic was awful. We had sat in the heat and were getting “hangry”. We pulled over at the first restaurant we saw and it was this place. From the outside it looks like your typical bar, but we left blown away by the awesome food that was served. To top it off we met a great bar tender and some very charismatic bar patrons.

Really liked it. Cheesesteak was great. Not Philly authentic but still a really delicious sandwich. Sides are good too. Only ever had takeout but bet its even better fresh in the restaurant.

Upon entering I asked the bartender numerous times to start me a tab with my card. She declined every time saying she was keeping track and didnt need my card. When cashed out our bill was unexpectedly high. When we asked for an itemized receipt we were told their computer doesn’t allow them to do that but that our family’s drinks were on our tab. We witnessed them paying cash for their drinks before they left, but called them to verify that they indeed paid for their drinks (they had). We left and left no tip due to the over charges and inability to handle simple tabs (the place wasn’t crowded at all either mind you). We then saw in our bank account that they charged $14 extra dollars to our tab.

We’re locals and tried out the Stag on a recommendation of a friend. However, feel like we were treated like potential “tourists” and they tried to take advantage. Not siure if the problem is the newer bartender of the pub, but regardless if reflects on the entire pub. In my opinion they’re a bunch of crooks that pocketed our family’s cash then charged us for the drinks and room upon herself to get a $14 tip. Oh and I only had 2 drinks so this wasn’t a case of we were “too drunk” to know what we drank.

Update: these issues have all been addressed. We come here regularly now and ❤️ Ish!

It is more than an acceptable establishment. Purveyors of many liquor based refreshments and an array of beers and wine. What more does one need you may ask yourself? An equally delightful menu by Kee’s Kitchen, would be the answer. If your thirst needs to be quenched, and belly laden with fine bar fare, then look no where else on James Island.

Look, managers/owners if you DONT give Hannah a raise ill never come back. Ive never ever ever seen in my life someone with so much hospitality while cooking and bartending for a full bar BY HERSELF. Please cherish her, I am a chef downtown and I truly have never met someone so happy to make me food abd drinks at the same time. Seriously.
