Amazing sushi spot! The fish is always of good quality, perfectly prepared, and rivals higher end sushi spots. I can honestly say hands down best sushi place in the La Habra, Whittier, La Mirada, Brea area!! The chili crunch garlic roll, tuna carpaccio, premium chirashi and mark special is our go to! Also don’t skip on their green honey tea! Cozy atmosphere and super friendly owners make every visit special, this place never disappoints. Definitely worth making your go-to sushi spot—just like it is for my family!

The fish is sooo fresh… the employees are always so inviting and sweet.. everything is always clean & spotless inside, they’re always so busy, most establishments that are as busy as them are never this clean, but they do it all.. I love everything about this spot and I wish nothing but success to them. I got the regular chirashi bowl and i think i will try the premium chirashi bowl next time. This is a consistent business and i believe this is their only location.. go visit them please. You won’t be disappointed at all.. thank me later thank them first.

Absolutely outstanding! Having lived in Tokyo for a year, I can confidently say the sushi here rivals some of the best spots in Japan. Every piece was incredibly fresh, beautifully crafted, and bursting with authentic flavor. The attention to detail and perfect balance of taste and texture reminded me of my favorite restaurants back in Tokyo.

Food is excellent. Atmosphere is very cute. Small place with only 4 tables and a sushi counter. Very crowded. Reservations are a must. Really enjoyed their sushi rolls. They make a killer “sushi cake”. Need to order ahead for this specialty. This is a mom and pop place and they go out of the way to make you feel comfortable and well taken care off. Noticed lots of take out orders too. Love the food and the people. We will be back for sure. By the way, the baked mussels were delicious too. My wife loved the mango salad. They have a special that included 3 special sushi rolls for a good price. That is what you see in the photos on a long wooden plate. May look small in the photo but they are truely a good size and filling.
Also noticed that the owners knew some of the customers at the tables around us, looks like a lot of loyal dinners. Always a good sign.

I’ve been here so many times and brought so many friends with me to dine. This is hands down the BEST sushi place I have eaten at. It’s a small cozy shop with very few tables so make sure to reserve your spot since they’ve been popular recently! I’ve been here multiple times to eat different rolls, hand rolls, miso soup, etc., and I’ve also come here twice already for their omakase. Omakase is so so sooo good and definitely worth a try. I treated my partner for his bday in July, and he treated me today for an early Valentine’s day. The chef is very knowledgeable and funny, the chefs and workers are so friendly. I definitely recommend coming here, and I’ve moved away from the area, but I still make the trip to come up here. Hopefully I’ll be back soon and I cannot wait!!! Also I posted some pics of the food from omakase – Two different times with slightly different availability!

Best local sushi bar hands down. Only true sushi fans come here. The owners Jeff and Jessie are awesome and so friendly. I recommend calling in a reservation just to be sure. I love this place and so happy we moved closer to it.

Hamachi Sushi Express is amazing! Awesome service, delicious and fresh sushi, and a beautiful sushi cake is available, which my wife got me for my birthday! The small sushi cake feeds 2-3 people and it was a LOT! We also got a baked scallop roll and we were both super stuffed after finishing everything (I eat twice as much as my wife haha).

Owners are so friendly and pleasant! The sushi rolls we ordered were amazingly fresh and beautifully put together. Pictured: Hot night roll, Rainbow spicy roll. Mango & Cajun Salmon rolls. Very clean dining area and atmosphere. I plan to return for more in the future when I’m in town! Definitely stop by if you love great sushi!

Was at Starbucks and notice this sushi place next door, was wanting sushi and decided to walk in. Very non descriptive front entrance.
Was greeted and sat at the counter. Ordered their omakase and was expecting conveyor quality. Truth be told, i was going to eat my words.
Fish was of high quality cuts and super fresh. Taste was non traditional nigiri and chef put his own twist on it.
This is literally better than any other sushi places ive had and to boot its a mom/pop place, which i love to support.
Will be coming back and referring out as well.
