Excellent eatery find when returning from Tahoe ✌️! Great location near I5 ramps (< 2 minutes drive). Located at a gas station with limited parking space. The perfect inconspicuous hole in the wall place. Big advantage: open in the evening when most similar diners are already closed. Very friendly and helpful staff, large menu options, affordable pricing. Delicious, very tasty, homemade food, big plates ! Lots of local patrons. What a great discovery, high five ️. Well worth a detour, highly recommended

I grew up the next street over on Golden Gate, my friend’s dad owned this establishment many years ago. But when I found out the was a taco place and Taco Tuesday, (AND TACO THURSDAY) I had to try it. Well, they get my weekly business. More than just tacos. They do make fresh tortillas for specific meals which is awesome. Staff is great and super friendly. Now, for the stern review.
Food is awesome. Lately there has been a stream of new employees they have been trying out, so food does come inconsistent sometimes. But don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t change the experience. I will continue to return with or without dollar tacos. They have plenty to choose from. They also do catering.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Favorite gem in Stockton. I refuse to go anywhere else for mexican dishes. Especially for dollar tacos tuesdays and thurdays.

I used to have a 5 star for taco Tuesday and Thursday. However went to get tacos and they raised the price for taco Tuesday.. the tacos were good for a dollar but to raise the price to 150 they not that good. Going to find a new place for dollar tacos.
( I took lots of people here to get them goodbusiness).. sorry but can’t afford the price hike. Update to response
You said the person told me on the phone that taco price went up. if she told me it was in Spanish which I clearly dont speak.. when I got there you just asked if I want to cancel my order.. you didnt try to work with me. Please dont lie… im very disappointed with your response cause its a lie. And yes I did say I would find another place that offered dollar tacos. Have a great day

I never been more disappointed in eating birria fries. I have a few complaints, first the nacho cheese came from a can and the fries are microwaveble ones. Second, the quantity doesn’t match the price and compared to other restaurants it’s extremely expensive. Lastly, I do not recommend buying birria fries here, they’re low quality, the amount is small for how much you pay. The birria was also very fatty. I am upset with my experience, I will never eat here again.

I decided to give Mr. Taco a try and ordered a supreme burrito—it was small, no cream, a lot of rice and beans all the way on the bottom and not to much meat. I also got three crunchy tacos and asked for them with everything, but when I got home, they were plain with only a small side of something that looked and tasted like mayo. Definitely won’t be returning.
