Oh my goodness this food is so good!!!! So fresh, so delicious, I am so happy. Me and my daughter were looking for a new place trying something different, glad we came. Great service Ashley was great. Thank you so much! I love food I am such a foodie and am so happy after this delicious meal. Don’t skip dessert the dessert was so good too. We had vanilla gelato, chocolate cake, and pistachio cup of something my daughter enjoyed very much!

We had a nice dinner at Il Culacinno, we love the service & ambiance. The fried calamari & white wine clam linguine were tasty. My preteen daughter liked her Penne Buttera could use a little more sauce, the flavor was good.
Veal Milanese is a must order at Franco Ristorante(owner’s Dad/parents’ original restaurant in Armour Sq) decided to try it last night here, it was very dry. Anita our server, asked if she could replace the dish, we already ate some, didn’t think it was polite to do so. To our surprise, she brought us a complimentary dessert- the cannoli dip which was really good. This attentive service is rear these days, it made us want to come back & try other dishes like the spicy shrimp pasta.

Came here for a quick girls dinner this past Saturday! I LOVED how Christmas decorated the place was – it was beautiful! The place was pretty empty when we went too which allowed for an intimate setting and to hear the Christmas playlist!

The food was good and the wine delicious!!! (We got the vodka pasta, spicy pesto, and fried calamari with a Pinot noir and sweet red wines! This will definitely be a place we go back to!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. The service is amazing and the food is delicious! Every option on the menu is amazing and definitely worth a try if you haven’t tried this restaurant. If you’re at the McCormick Convention Center it’s walking distance from there and perfect after a long day.

What a hidden gem this place is! Went to a trade show at the convention center and had 3 meals here. I didn’t take photos- but the food was so delicious! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were so nice and friendly. Over the 3 days we enjoyed the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp, the Burrata appetizer, the lobster risotto, the grilled chicken Caprese sandwich. The lemon drops at happy hour! $6 in 2026?? That’s a Deal. But even at full price- worth it! Anytime you are in the conversion center at McCormick place- check it out, you will not be disappointed!! A 5 star from me!

Food was really good. Fine Italian dining. I got the special, whitefish with breadcrumbs on top. It was delicious! Not your usual Italian restaurant! The plates were huge too.

We were at a work conference and the vendor made reservations for some of us partners. There was 17 of us that showed up. For the number of folks to take care, they did a fantastic job. Food was amazing. Service was great .

I ordered from Il Culaccino from Door Dash. We ordered an Eggplant Parmigiana, Penne Buttera and a slice of Cannoli Cake. Everything was really good. The Eggplant was huge and I could only eat half of it, so I had the rest the day after. The Cannoli cake was delicious! I’d order from here again or maybe I’ll try dining in the restaurant. I highly recommend ordered via DoorDash.

Il culaccino Chicago has been serving the community for years. This is a great spot for a meal before an event at McCormick Place or Wintrust. The portions are legit and you probably won’t leave hungry. Some of the better items on the menu are:

Buccatini
Milanese
Parmesan
Calamari
Any salad
Lasagna
Porkchop

All the deserts are legit

They have a great patio for the summer and it has a retractable rooftop for those cold Chicago nights. Stop by!

Conveniently located right outside the McCormick Center. I had the shrimp pasta dish and it was extremely spicy. I was warned ahead of time but it was incredibly delicious. Fully worth the pain. We had the meatball appetizer which was also good. Prices are decent for Chicago. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is in town for a conference at the McCormick Center and looking for an Italian lunch outside of the event. No wait time and fast service.
