Johnny’s Hot Dogs has been serving breakfast and lunch from a space next to Royall Ace Hardware in Mount Pleasant for the past 18 years.

The first clue should have been a weekday at 8:15am and no one at the window. Working people go where the breakfast is good, tasty, and considered a value.
I frequented Johnny’s for years, then my route changed and the visits stopped. Something has changed. In the past a cheese, egg & sausage was something I looked forward to on the daily. Fresh, savory and a kaiser roll.
What I got today was two microwaved, tasteless egg patties, a thin, bland sausage patty, all covered with melted yellow American cheese, microwaved and delivered on a hamburger bun.
If the sandwich I got today is your taste preference , good on you. If you’re looking for something a bit more authentic with fresh eggs, a savory sausage patty on a kaiser roll, you may want to pass to avoid being disappointed.
The sandwich was hot, prepared quickly.and service was friendly.

Johnnys hotdog is one of, if not, my favorite place to eat in Charleston, whether it be lunch or breakfast they will provide professional and friendly service and amazing food invariably. i recommend the tailgater but there are tons of options to pick from. will come back soon!

Great spot, hot dog was amazing! Everything here was really fairly priced, I went with the regular hot dog with pickles, jalepeno, ketchup and mustard. I couldn’t recommend it enough the bun was soft and the hot dog was perfectly cooked!

All right I’m guilty of it and I went to this place two days in a row and got the wrap I think it was the same chicken but they definitely mixed it up and I really enjoyed the pimento grilled chicken wrap. and this place is another place that feels like home which to me is Edisto Island but I do know this place has been here for a while and the service is actually great basically all you do is go to the window order what you want pay and you’re good to go. Remember to get your dill pickle and lunch is pretty fair also they are famous for their hot dogs so try some of their hot dogs. I really do appreciate it guys and I would recommend this place to anybody even a small family that’s on the way to the beach and grabbing something to eat.

We got a bacon, egg and cheese croissant, and a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and they were delicious!! Very great job and the lady was so nice!! Definitely a spot to check out while you’re in mount pleasant!!

Pretty good place. I got a hotdog with ketchup mustard and relish. It wasn’t amazing, but I’d go back there for a quick lunch. It’s a little outside place, there isn’t any indoor seating. You order at the windows and wait for your food. Wait time was as expected.
