The Pub Car is open late with a chill atmosphere. Elegant casual dining atmosphere with 1920s jazz/blues/soul vibe. It is not a fast experience, but is comfortably relaxed and chill. All food was fresh with excellent temperature and texture.prices are reasonable and appropriate. $40 something a person for appetizer, meal, cocktail, and dessert. Highly recommend the Cabbage Roll Soup when you need something broth-y and comforting for sweater weather!

Last night, I went to the Pub and tried their new burger, “The Shack.” It was so good that I had to go in today for another one! It has Bleu cheese cabbage, grilled onions and jalepenos, and bbq sauce. If you’re looking for something new, look here!!! I paired the burger both times with their seasonal Potato & Leak soup (one of my favs!!!), and the night at the Pub, I had their Off the Rails Margarita. So yum!! They do have an impossible burger option too for those who don’t eat meat!

I’ve eaten at the restaurant numerous times and always had great service and great food at a reasonable price. Tried the pub last night for dinner and drinks. Had the ribeye with a baked potato and some fried pickles. Everything was spot on, the steak was cooked and seasoned perfect, the fried pickles were good and the drinks were consistent. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. If you want a relaxing place to grab a drink and food without the worry of a bar fight or someone yelling at the TV because there is a game on, I would highly recommend this place. Mike and Jennifer, thank you for a nice night out and great conversation.

Last night we went out to the newest Dinner Club in Joplin, Union Station Club Car Pub! The atmosphere was just amazing, the food was superb, and the drinks just wow!! We ordered an Old Fashion that had a Luxardo Cherry from Italy and Buffalo Trace Bourbon and a twist of orange that was amazing, we then ordered the Club Car Amaretto made with Blood Orange San Pellegringo, and Amaretto it was also garnished with a Luxardo Cherry and a slice of orange, we ordered several IPA’s, then to round off the night we ordered the Little Red Caboose!
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly and skilled bartender and very attentive and efficient waistress.
There was even live music by Jesse Douglas which set the mood even more!

Our party of 5 had an amazing evening there and we will becoming back again and again. Can’t wait to see you there!

I ordered the “Stapleton” choice of eggs, scrambled and fresh fruit with a cat head biscuit with gravy. Two more scrambled eggs with toast and sausage patties. The food was good and service was okay. Not a big crowd and my first visit since opening.

Union Station Deli & Event Center in Joplin is a delightful spot that seamlessly blends historical charm with modern culinary flair. Situated at 705 Illinois, the location formerly known as Beckett’s Cafe, this establishment has undergone a refreshing transformation. The new railroad theme is not only cool but also thoughtfully integrates into the local heritage, featuring wooden booths, historic light fixtures, and fascinating memorabilia from Joplin’s past, including items from the famed Ebony Super Club.

The ambiance is further enhanced by the attentive and friendly service. We were seated immediately upon arrival, welcomed by a very kind waitress who ensured our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable.

The menu at Union Station Deli is nothing short of unique, offering a delightful twist on classic dishes. My friend Michelle opted for the ‘Me Like Bees’ – a sandwich that harmoniously combines turkey, cheddar, sliced apple, honey, and whole grain mustard on a croissant. The addition of the apple was a masterstroke, adding a fresh, crisp element to the sandwich. She paired this with sweet potato waffle fries, which were a hit.

I chose the ‘Klein Philly’, a hearty sandwich packed with roasted beef, grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, smoked provolone, and garlic mayo, all served on crusty French bread. The flavors were rich and satisfying, perfectly complemented by the handmade onion rings – crispy and flavorful.

The total cost for our meal was around $30, plus a tip – a reasonable price for the quality and quantity of food served. Union Station Deli & Event Center is a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique dining experience in Joplin. It’s a place where history and modern cuisine meet, creating an unforgettable experience.
