Yum! Friends recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Burger, fries and onion rings cooked perfectly! I also got the special, homemade lasagna, for later. Couldn’t pass it up. Very fast, friendly, and clean. Don’t bypass this deli on your way through the rolling hills.

Very friendly establishment. The people were nice and pleasant to speak with. The subs were much better then we had been told they were. Generous portions of meat and toppings were added to the fresh bread. With the atmosphere reminding me of an old dinner, a juke box sits making for a extremely nostalgic moment. There is a larger selection of food avaliable then inhad thought. There is a breakfast, lunch and specials menu. Thia place is a gem in a far from anything area, but worth the trip! I’ll definitely return when im in the area. Ask the owner about the juke box for a special treat I to his family’s history! Very cool!

A little diamond in the rough! Adorable country deli with the sweetest people working there. The food was unpretentious, simple, but delicious. Loved the chili and grilled cheese. The restrooms were clean. Very accessible. Nice picnic area out back.

Little place off the beaten path with so many 5 star reviews, we had to try it. Its a historic building with a cool story the owner shared with us. Food is all fresh and super reasonably priced.
We had 2 of the specials, the reuben and the steak & cheese. Each $8.99 including a choice of fries (several cuts).
The inside is lovely with tables & booths in the back. There are picnic tables outside also.
You order up front, choose drinks from the coolers. Then sit down, they bring the food.

What a wonderful find in Rio, West Virginia. This diner had delicious homemade food. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. They also had a nice size deli.

I’m in the area for work from another part of the country and just happened to pass JJ’s and never miss a chance to try local. I even had the pleasure of meeting JJ himself and had a great conversation. I had a breakfast sandwich, it couldn’t have been more home made if I made it myself. I will go well out of my way to come back here! Great atmosphere. Thank you JJ’s!

I was So hesitant to write this for fear of this country gem being ‘found out,’ but they deserve the accolades – JJ’s is hands down the best place to grab lunch in the area. Their subs and sandwiches are absolutely perfect, with very fresh flavorful bread and quality ingredients. I’m personally addicted to their chicken salad, my husband likes their turkey & cheese. We even tossed in an order of battered mushrooms on our last visit and they were so tasty I’ll Definitely be getting those again. They have specials throughout the week, and everything we’ve ever gotten has been top notch. I’ve not gone for breakfast yet, but I’m there next time I see the blueberry pancakes on special.

This is my go to place whenever I am in the area for work or traveling through with family and friends. Always receive top notch service and a meal to brag about. Have yet to have a meal I wouldn’t get again or don’t talk about the rest of the day. Don’t pass this place up if you are coming through town.

Like going back in time ! No cell service but Mj and his daughter are very welcoming! We enjoyed the local flavor! Three choices of fries ! Fresh blue berries’ it’s ver affordable and I nice place just to take it on ! It’s a different speed and jj is good at it !
