Lovely pool area with great food and drink. Enjoyed the fish tacos and chicken wings. Nice selection of cocktails and other drinks. Plenty of seating both loungers, high-tops and table seating. In just a year this place has gone from good food to barely passable and very expensive. Fish tacos with “fish sticks” that taste old. Wine from a can. We will never eat there again. We are timeshare owners so will miss the convenience. A fine a resort as this is deserves more.

Drinks were subpar. Margaritas in particular were syrupy and mostly ‘sweet and sour’ mix. Service was good though and staff was friendly.

On 2/20 during lunch time at the main pool’s The Water’s Edge Bar & Grill inside Marriott, we experienced racism.
My family is Asian, and almost all the other guests around us were white. We sat at a visible table for over 15 minutes and the server clearly saw us but never came. When a white family arrived behind us, they were served immediately with menus and water. The difference in treatment was very obvious.
We had to go to the bar ourselves to order drinks and I still tipped 20%. Even then, no one brought drinks to our table. When we asked for water, the response was unfriendly. The staff member working was a Latina woman wearing a hat.
We have been living in the United States for years, and this is the first time we have experienced something like this. Based on what we saw and experienced, I believe this was racial discrimination. It made us feel ignored and very uncomfortable. Very disappointing.
