What an amazing place. We had wonderful sandwiches. So big I took half home. The pasta salad it came with was delicious. Oh my the desserts!!! The most delicious and unique cupcakes. Cake Lady Café is nestled on the edge of the town of Fort Lawn right off of US 21 just North of HWY 9. From the road you might miss it if you were buzzing down US 21, but I assure you it’s worth a stop if you’re traveling through or in the general area of Lancaster, Chester, or Rock Hill.
The name might make you think this establishment is limited to bakery options but there’s so much more to offer for lunch! The core of their menu is handcrafted sandwiches, homemade sides and soup of the day. The sandwiches are very well portioned and robust, and taste great. You’ll definitely fill your belly with the homemade Amish bread, shaved meats, and accoutrements!
Make sure to save room for dessert, because at the heart of this café is the cupcake bakery. Offering regular flavors as well as seasonal specialties, you’ll not want to miss a cupcake or dozen from here. Wow! And I mean WOW! I stopped by for a cupcake. NEVER knew they had a full menu of food. Amazing! The turkey with cranberries was delicious. And it is HUGE! And the Taco Soup was sooooo very good. AND I had a white chocolate raspberry cupcake! This was my first visit but it will not be my last.

We came for lunch after reading all the great reviews…our experience was everything we hoped it would be and more! I had the Ruby, hubby had the Stallion…both were amazing. Dessert was a coconut cupcake, and a slice of pumpkin roll…yum, yum, yum. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The house made Amish bread is spectacular.
