Was an absolute amazing meal with an even better price. Was cooked so fresh and hot it burned my mouth a little. Got the general tao chicken bento and omg so good. Egg rolls were delicious too. Also got a pork bun they were ok. My first time trying one a little dry but still good. The dumplings were a little too crispy but still delicious.

We ordered the egg rolls, Chinese BBQ pork buns, Mongolian Beef Bento, and the Orange Chicken Bento, everything was great. Just wish the bento boxes & the buns had a bit more flavor, then they would’ve been perfect. The crab Rangoons were crispy and delicious and so were the eggrolls.

solid! I got the 3 cup chicken, and it tasted very good — the portions were absolutely huge, and for a very reasonable price. It is located in what felt like not a very nice neighborhood, but otherwise really enjoyed!

Despite going keto, I still crave their five spices crispy chicken. Their bento box is very generous and well thought out – a lot of places will give you blah sides, but their sides in the bento are all fresh and delicious.
You can chose to get any of the main dish as a “side” rather than as part of bento. This used to be much more affordable, but on my last visit (6/2024), the bento was $12, and the side was $9. I wanted to skip the bento since I wanted to just cheat my keto diet with my favorite five spices chicken, but if you want a better deal, get the bento. Both their braised egg and egg rolls are yummy. I actually also really love their stir fried veggies.
My second favorite dish is their Beijing beef. It has been a while since I’ve been in and I see Korean chicken on their menu now, and I look forward to trying it out.
So far, I haven’t had anything here that wasn’t good (Ok, with the exception of their pork bun, which wasn’t bad, but I didn’t think it was as good as their other greater fare).
What I love more about Bento Xpert are the owners. Samuel and Lydia are both so friendly and make my visits pleasant. Thanks for bringing this authentic Taiwanese experience to Milwaukee!

The place was not what i expected. There’s a massive building housing multiple smaller restaurants, all of which looked delicious. Stopping here we saw the reviews for the bento place were solid and that the prices were extremely fair.
Upon ordering the man up front was awesome, and they seemed super busy with tons of online or delivery orders for a smaller shop. We ordered a simple Beef and Broccoli bento with a strawberry fruit tea.
The bento was cheap and filled to the brim with beef, onion and broccoli- along with rice and an egg roll. The portion was massive, and the fruit tea was very sweet and enjoyable (it also being 90 degrees out). I will definitely be walking here from class from now on.

Everyone recommends this place! They have very reasonable price for good food!! I am Taiwanese, when I miss my hometown food, I will stop by here. We always order no. 10 and no.15, the gua bao is amazing too! Don’t forget to order bubble tea while you are eating there !

Very authentic Taiwanese bento! We had ground pork w rice and pork chop rice. Both are fresh and yummy. The owners are Taiwanese as well. Surprised to see they even offer kuo bao and boba tea! Worth a try!

A “hard no” for me. I have previously ordered from the restaurant. There were no complaints until most recent. During my recent visit, an item I inquired to the restaurant worker was not on the menu. The restaurant worker response was “No! No! We don’t have that food item”. Throws their hand in the air with frustration and heads to the back of the kitchen. Not cool, unprofessional, rude and overly dramatic.
My response was “Ok, thank you” and I walked away to visit a different restaurant.
He could have simply stated “Ma’am we don’t have that menu item, here are some similar food items we offer”. Why chase away business and potential income to keep the restaurant financially afloat? I do not understand the reasoning for the rude conduct.

I’ve been here probably around 10 times prior to writing this review. I usually get the five spice chicken bento, but this time I got the Taiwanese pork chop. Everything was delicious, and I like how they include some vegetable to help balance out the meal. When you order the bento, you can either get a braised egg or an egg roll. Everything is ~$10. Favorite Asian restaurant in Milwaukee. Definitely worth a visit!!

I hope you go in wearing flip flops because this food is going to knock your socks off. Fast, tasty and relatively cheap. Definitely a place I would stop again. I got the Orange chicken and that was great almost too much to eat. My nephew got the braised beef and demolished it. Only missing a star on atmosphere becuase of the location and the vibe as a kitchen corner. Still 5 star food
