Such a great place to eat! Not only is the vibe great, the restaurant clean and welcoming but the food is amazing! The birria tacos are my favorite and the birria pizza is such a fun addition to the menu. You can’t go wrong with anything though! Do yourself a favor and go give it a try!

Stopped by El Barrio Cantina for lunch and was NOT disappointed. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and fast. Restaurant is really nice and clean inside and offers a great selection of tacos, seafood, burritos and other Mexican favorites. I will be coming back!

Great food! Our family loves this place and it has became our new go to ever since we first tried it. I think no other Mexican restaurant in town compares to this place. You can really taste the love that goes into this homemade food. The staff here is also amazing, every time we go the owner is always there greeting people and making sure everyone is enjoying their time. You can tell he puts lots of effort into making this place stand out from the other Mexican restaurants. Lupe is always our server when we go as well and he’s always doing great and working so hard!! My favorite is their Birria tacos and most recently we tried the fried chicharron and it was the best!! Their menu is kinda small for right now but they are always doing specials and they are slowly adding items to it. I love the decor and the modern look of the inside, excited for them to get their liquor menu started lol

Really friendly staff, a solid menu of things that the kitchen does very well. The complimentary chips were thick, crispy, fresh, and flavorful and they have us three salsas, red, green, and brown. The brown had great kick.
Husband got the chili relleno, and it was lovely, traditionally prepared with a light egg coating that was fluffy and tender over a roasted green chilie stuffed with cheese. The beans and rice were great. The fish menu had Peruvian sashimi style preparations! I was so surprised.
My tilapia was delicious with the avocado and onions. Tender, spicy, creamy, crunchy, and tangy all in one bite. More of those hearty tortilla chips on the side, and my husband shared one of his handmade pillowy corn tortillas. So good. I was tempted to just get another order of the tortillas.

I have FINALLY FOUND IT!!! The all time best Mexican restaurant, the food was absolutely INCREDIBLE, the service was immediate, the staff was so friendly and welcoming, the owner came and spoke with us, the menu was so easy to read, and only one page, this place is definitely overlooked, I will be back again and again until I’ve tried everything on their menu, and after that I’ll be back for my favorites. If you haven’t tried it, GO, great for big events, or special moments, or just a day for Mexican food. When I back something, I back it with my whole being, this place is it!! Remember to support the local restaurants, this is definitely the one to start with.

Overall the best tacos I’ve had in town. Authentic feel and the service was great. Owner came and greeted us at the table with our food after cooking for us. I haven’t seen that type of leadership anywhere. Praying that this place gets the love and attention it deserves.

I ordered the tacos and my husband had the burrito. The food came out hot and was fresh. The portions were a large, especially for the money ($8 for a burrito at a sit down restaurant is unheard of in Florida), and everything taste really good. Beyond the food which was exceptional, what really impressed me is that I left my purse at the restaurant and THE OWNER brought it to my hotel. The young lady that took my order remembered I mentioned flying out the next day and the owner made a point to find where I was staying and brought my purse (with my ID, money, credit cards etc… inside ) to my hotel. Clean restaurant, great tasting food, staff with integrity, and an owner with a killer smile and a heart of gold, 10’s across the board.

I wished I took pictures of our orders. I saw the chicarron molcajete on their Facebook page and knew I had to try it. It was absolutely delicious!!! As a family who tries to find foods that are truly authentic and remind us of our vacations in Mexico– this place is it!! Everything I ordered and everything my family ordered was delicious and authentic. Let’s talk about the chips and three salas. The best I’ve ever had in such a long time! We will definitely be coming back and a Mexican restaurant we actually like!

Staying in town for work and this place is near the hotel, so I figured I’d check it out. I was told the tacos were discounted for Taco Tuesday…..so I decided to try 4 different tacos. I went in with low expectations. I’ve had a tough time finding decent Mexican food in Nebraska and the place was empty, but then the chips and salsa flight came out. I realized at that point that this could be better than I expected. A few minutes later the tacos came out and I actually sat and looked at them for a minute before I tasted anything. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The scratch made tortillas looked incredible and they didn’t skimp on the protein. The carnitas definitely looked the part, so I tried a piece of the pork before diving into the taco and was in awe. It can be really hard to pull off good carnitas and they nailed it. Good crisp and flavor while still being moist. Next up was the Al Pastor, which was also incredible. As I finished that, my server (I think he was the owner) checked in to see how my meal was going and I told him that there was a good chance I’d be placing another order. I finished off my carne asada and birria taco and knew I had to try more….so it was time for round two. I ordered 4 more: barbacoa, fish, chicken, and one more carnitas. All were excellent. Each protein clearly well thought out and executed beautifully, and each taco elevated by those scratch made tortillas looked incredible. I know I may sound like a pig, and I kind of feel like one sitting here in my hotel room, but that was easily one of the top 3 taco experiences of my life. I’d put those up against any I had living in Phoenix for 20+ years or various vacations in Mexico. Top notch food and service. I hope this place catches on because Scottsbluff has a true gem. I will be back every time I’m in town. Thank you for a fantastic experience!
