I’ve dined in and had take out from here. Thaw staff is always so kind and food is great. Best mango sticky rice and Thai tea I’ve had in the area

Decent, but not life-changing. Flavors on-point, but a bit subdued for a non-Lao/Thai clientele.
Fried Chicken Salad, a novel / rarely seen option. Crispy crusted breast served on a normal salad mix ubiquitous in any supermarket.
Dark interior, with no windows — counterbalanced by a very friendly, smiley staff.

MAYA THAI has amazing service and delicious Thai fare! There are a couple delicious options that are safe for celiacs. We didn’t get sick and we enjoyed the food! MAYA THAI serves HUGE portions.
I love their shrimp rice paper roll thingies. THEIR HOT PEANUT BUTTER SAUCE IS SCRUMPTIOUS!
The server, I didn’t get her name, was very nice and loved to talk.

Outstanding fresh Thai and Laotian meals in El Sobrante. After two visits I know that this will be a new go-to restaurant for my wife and me. We tried the trout salad, green curry, crab fried rice, curry noodles, and the mango sticky rice. The vegetables were FRESH, and the coconut milk was flavorful. They adapted the spice to our mild preference without the dishes losing their rich flavors. The menu is large and I can strongly recommend this restaurant even if you don’t usually like Thai food.

If you like spice, this is your place. Some dishes have their own take, so ask your server. We got thai spicey and while I take spice heat very well, but a lot of these dishes were too spicey for me to taste/enjoy.
Green Curry – Stong ginger flavor, blends well with the spice, but not for everyone.
Thai Fried Rice – Suggested by the server. Good flavor, well cooked.
Pad Kee Mao – Definitely their own take and a bit saucy for us but a fan of the spice and how it was cooked.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and they have hands down one of the BEST yellow Thai curries I’ve ever had. The flavor, the spicy level, it’s all around the best.

This place in my opinion, is the best local Tai Restaurant. Every plate I have tried has been packed full of flavor and the right amount of heat per dish. The staff is great here, very friendly and very attentive, I have never seen my glass of water empty during lunch.
The decor is a unique hybrid of traditional and modern, the seats are comfortable and there is a TV with music videos playing for atmosphere. ( My kids love that.
My wife recommends the Khao soi
I recommend any of the pan fried noodles like pad ki mao. My kids loved the pad Tai.
The chicken satay is good and the curry puffs are a unique explosion of flavor.

I had the mild Tom Yum soup with the large flat noodles. The soup was very delicious and hearty. There was just the right mixture of lemon grass and sourness to satisfy a last minute dinner craving. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

This is my new Pad Ke Mao spot, they give you a generous amount of food, the taste is fresh and the spice taste actually carries flavor and not just kick. Really enjoyed my food

Just want to give this great restaurant another review. It’s been at least 3 years now since we first tried this place. The dishes remained delicious and always consistent with the ingredients, authentic.
We celebrated anniversaries and birthdays here too because the staff also very friendly. We always feel at home here. Great service which is very hard to find now.
Thank you Maya Thai!
