Found this nice little restaurant right above the mini Bethesda Target. The service is welcoming, the place is extremely clean. Portion of my pork katsu is super generous! The panko breading is so crispy,while the meat still stays juicy. I would come back to try other dishes when I’m in the area. They seem to have great lunch deals

Maki Bar is absolutely amazing. The sushi is super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made, and the ramen is just as good—rich broth, perfect noodles, and really satisfying. Hands down one of the best sushi places I have been to in regards to the fresh sushi, customer service, and menu options. For my dine-in, I ordered the Amazing Tuna (the one with the Tempura Flakes on top), Spicy Tuna Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, Boston Roll, and the Salmon Roll. I came for dinner and the customer service was exceptional. She very attentive, made sure our waters were filled, and gave great recommendations. The itamae (sushi chef) made each sushi roll with precision and very flavorful. He also gave great sushi recommendations especially with the Amazing Tuna and Fresh Salmon roll. After dinner, the waitress gave me a yummy chewy strawberry candy. She was super sweet and friendly! For my take-out, I ordered the Alaska Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Boston Roll, and Amazing Tuna. It was just as delicious as if I was to dine-in. I highly recommend this sushi restaurant and I will definitely be coming back here when I am next in town.

After a crazy trip to Trader Joe’s a friend and I decided to check this place out. It’s a cute little sushi spot was great prices and pretty good sushi! The fish tasted very fresh and the rolls were filling. The service was pretty good and it’s a great location. Definitely going back here if I’m nearby!

Totally underrated sushi restaurant! I lived in Japan for the better part of my adult life and every time I come to Maki Bar (at least once a month at this point) I’m impressed by the size of the cuts of sashimi, the amount and flavor of the tempura shrimp udon (my go to order!), and all my friends and family I’ve brought have been equally blown away. Their special rolls have all tasted great too. The Salmon Special is the photo I’ve attached and was a dream for a salmon lover like me! Can’t recommend them enough!

No idea how this place has 4+ stars. Food was absolutely horrible. My ramen had overcooked and burnt pork belly, and the egg was just a hard boiled egg. Chirashi sushi did not taste fresh.
