I already knew this was going to be a good place when I saw the menu and staff spoke in Spanish! Really delicious food, was recommended to me. Meat was tasty, salsa was very spicy and yummy. Torta on the sourdough is a great touch. Would definitely go back. Good customer service, welcoming atmosphere. Good to support a local small business.

Very refreshing to see restaurants can still have great customer service. Was met with a smile, all my questions were answered and food was made as ordered. Plus, I was even given a barbacoa taco on the house while I waited for my to go order Will definitely be back

I drove past this place a couple of times before and today I decided to go try it out. Boy.. I should have never stop by what a HUGE disappointment.. I never leave reviews but I could not just let this go. First off the ambience of the restaurants was dead on a Saturday. no music,TVs turned off, and only two employees sitting down on there phones. I ordered two tortas ahogadas to go that came with there raw onion, tomato sauce and chili sauce and lime. one of carnitas and one of barbacoa and two Mexican cokes. For $34 it’s up there but maybe they are that good?.. wrong As soon as I saw her grab the bread I was surprised. They were not using bollios they use some sort of cafeteria frozen hoagie roll that were dry and stale. Not even the tomato sauce could save them. They tasted like something you get at a hospital. The carnitas were dry, and minced way to much. Traditionally it is supposed to look like pulled pork. The barbacoa had a decent flavor but again the frozen cafeteria roll was A HUGE LET DOWN! The only reason I give it a star is because I was able to wash down the bread with the Mexican coke. Worst tortas I have ever tasted. NEVER AGAIN

This is a small family owned business inspired by Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico .

I had the classic torta ahogada, and it was so good. SALSA was on point. The birote they used did not get soggy as on other places. Tacos de papa were nice and crispy. And tamarind agua fresca just refreshing. A jericalla is a must, to complete your experience. I really felt like i was visiting family or friends in Guadalajara. It was my first time visiting, but definitely will be back.

Tried this place for the 1st time today and I honestly didn’t like it . The tortas had no beans and the onion’s are raw which was different for me because im use to having tortas ahogadas with purple pickled onions. There for I give this place a 1 of 10 maybe if the sauce was better or they added more beans that could had made it possibly a 5 out 10.

This is a purely authentic Mexican flavor. If you are not familiar with one of the typical dishes from the state of Jalisco in Mexico, “torta ahogada” is a gem.

Not easy to find real flavor with quality ingredients. I tried their torta ahogada and it exceeded my expectations. Their meat is high quality, no grease and freshly cooked. But what makes it so unique is their house made tomato sauce, it’s very tasty and makes their dishes taste like back in Jalisco.

I recommend you ask for extra onions, lime and tomato sauce with your torta. Their hot salsa is extremely hot so be careful.

Celina and David are the Owners and they took care of me and the other clients. They are very respectful and generous with their portions, service is a solid 5 star. You will enjoy eating here and will leave with a full
belly and a great experience.

Thank you Celina and David, keep up the great work and the awesome quality in food and service.

Just ordered some food that I was really excited for. Money was taken out of my bank and everything. And when we get there. The restaurant was CLOSED! Online it said it was open and allowed me to place an order. Store is supposed to be open today. No sign on door either stating other wise.

Awesome delicious food, and good hosts. it was fun chatting with them and learning about the the traditional Jalisco Tejuino drink, and the Jericallas desert. Got some fun culture AND a yummy lunch. Salsa is spicy (but good if you can handle it) mind you.
