Sunday dinner and drinks. If you want a grown up dinner night this is the spot. We got there around 5pm sat at the bar for drinks the staff was very helpful picking the right mix. On to dinner we had fried calamari crunchy yummy. Caesar salad house made dressing I could not stop eating it. I had the carbonara very creamy and the capellini with shrimp . We ended it with tiramisu it was BIG. I was stuffed and a ready for a nap after that delicious food .

I thought I posted this months ago, but it never went live. So here I am again. This restaurant deserves a 5-star review. It embodies what most dining experiences are missing today. PJs is a lovely traditional Italian restaurant that blends great food with great community. Also, they have the best calamari that I’ve ever head!

A Fresh Start at PJ’s Restaurant — A Must-Visit in El Sobrante

PJ’s Restaurant has officially reopened under new ownership, and the transformation is nothing short of impressive. From the moment you arrive, the beautifully refreshed exterior and warm, inviting atmosphere set the tone for a great dining experience. Ample parking makes it easy to stop in, and once inside, you’ll immediately notice the attention to detail that went into creating a comfortable, welcoming space.

The food is outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Service is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. Prices are fair and reasonable, especially considering the quality of both the food and the overall experience.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, PJ’s is well worth the visit. The new team has done an exceptional job bringing this neighborhood favorite back to life. Give it a try — you won’t be disappointed.

Had the pleasure of having dinner and drinks at Pj’s restaurant in El Sobrante. I have been there before while it was owned by pervious owners. What a transformation! They have done a beautiful job! The drinks were fantastic and the food was wonderful! Tony and Sterling at the bar were very welcoming and friendly. My fettuccini Alfredo was perfectly creamy and the Lemon Rosemary cake for desert was delicious.
Can’t wait to eat there again!

The food was good basic Italian fare. The mixed drinks are well priced but the quality could be improved. The atmosphere was okay but would be better if made a bit cozier. It’s a good start for a nice family run neighborhood restaurant and bar.

First time here tonight. We came based off of a friend’s recommendation. The service and atmosphere is nice. The portions and price are decent. I’m not a fan of the food though. It was bland, but that’s because I have a bad habit of eating too salty. We had a margaritas, clam chowder, Cesar salad, chicken Alfredo, and the stuff pork chop.
