Hidden Gem Worth the Wait!
I finally made it to The Wine Cellar—and wow, what a cozy, charming spot! Tucked away in an actual cellar, it’s only open a few days a week, so plan ahead: I recommend calling or messaging them on Facebook to snag a table.
We ordered:
• Drunken Mushrooms: Rich and delicious in wine sauce. I loved them even without the garlic bread.
• Homemade Gnocchi with Meatball: Hearty, satisfying, and clearly homemade. The meatball was meaty and not overly bready—just right.
• Baked Haddock: Baked in a lemon wine sauce and perfectly seasoned. A standout!
Portions are generous, but save room for dessert! My mom raved about the coconut cake. It was super fluffy—though I picked up a hint of anise, which isn’t my thing. Still, I could tell it was expertly made.
It’s intimate, unique, and absolutely worth seeking out. Can’t wait to go back!

We told our server, Morgan, who was absolutely wonderful, welcoming and beyond pleasant that we had been wanting to come up to The Wine Cellar for about 2 years now and we finally got the opportunity to come up…it was worth the wait!
The drunken mushroom started the night off in such a wonderful way. My wife and I both are very big mushroom people and they were delicious. Ribeye perfectly cooked and pineapple glazed salmon was the best I ever had! Side of gnocchi with red sauce – perfect.
Coconut Almond Cake and peanut butter gob were great take home goodies.
We will back – excellent experience on every level.

This restaurant is a consistently delightful dining experience. The seating areas are simultaneously intimate and private. The handmade pasta is divine. All of the staff make an effort to deliver a welcoming visit, whether you’re there for romance or to feel like you’re part of their restaurant family.

We had a great meal last night. The atmosphere downstairs was intimate and comfortable, but upon opening the entry door at the top of the steps it smelled gross, almost outhouse-ish. Once down the steps it disappeared but entering and leaving through that area wasn’t awesome. Side salad would be 5/5 if olives thrown in. Fried haddock didn’t have a good layer on it- likely do baked in future. Waitress was sweet and attentive.

Excellent atmosphere and service. The food is authentic and the drinks you couldn’t ask for a better bartender. This is a spot that is small but quiet and cozy.

The atmosphere is fantastic, in the basement of the owner’s home. The waitress was awesome, very responsive and made great recommendations and suggestions. The food, was ok. Particularly for the area, I’d certainly come back. The drunken mushrooms were fantastic, but don’t order them unless you’re hungry as the portion sizes are huge. I enjoyed my time here, listening to jazz, sipping on wine and enjoying a good meal.
