We serve lunch on our front lawn under heated tents. You can also stop in the store to pick up Atrium Cafe favorites to take home from our Grab ‘n Go Cafe. In the early days of The Little Traveler, Kate Raftery, the store’s founder, invited her Carriage Trade friends from the North Shore to come to Geneva for the day. While the ladies dined amid the splendor of Kate’s latest acquisitions from Europe and the Orient, their drivers were served simple fare of sandwiches, soups, and pies made by Swedish cooks. Over the years, these recipes developed a following of their own, and the Atium Café has grown to be a part of The Little Traveler experience.

Afternoon Tea: This is not afternoon tea or high tea as you know it. The tea is not brewed. The desserts are bland and stale. The finger sandwiches are made from soft but stale and gummy Wonder Bread type bread with crusts intact, filled with potted meat, bland egg salad, and weird pimento cheese. The atmosphere is dingy, rundown and depressing. A complete disaster.

Got the all-inclusive brunch with the Beef eater skillet. The skillet was fantastic, super well seasoned steak and the eggs were cooked as ordered. The cinnamon roll left something to be desired, was not very cinnamony and the lemon frosting was unexpected. Not bad, just not as advertised. Portion sizes also left something to be desired for the price, I was full after eating but I would have expected more. Overall would recommend, just don’t expect to be taking any leftovers home.

What a wonderful experience today with my daughter-in-law and granddaughters. We had afternoon tea in the Atrium part of The Little Travelor in Geneva, Il. The food was good, service excellent and very reasonable! We all enjoyed our first “Afternoon Tea” experience. Victor was our server & he was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place for lunch/tea with family or friends!
