Only having a few restaurants in Placitas , you would expect for them to provide quality food. Their pizza is OK but the last time I went in, I was suggested to order a steak sandwich because it was supposedly amazing. I wasn’t going to leave a review, but after getting sick from the lack of food quality I had to leave a review. Anyone who knows how to make a good sandwich knows not to put huge chunks of steak you can’t chew through full of fat and gristle. I’m not exaggerating when you pick up the hard bread that cuts your mouth the huge pieces of steak fall out everywhere. This was the worst sandwich I’ve ever ate in my entire life. You shouldn’t even call it a sandwich because of how bad the chunks of steak are the bread was over toasted and the steak was almost freezing cold. I’d highly suggest re-creating the menu and preparing better quality food

I just happened to be in Placitas today while my husband was biking and stopped into Placitas Pizza Co.
Service was quick and friendly. While I was waiting the man working (I think he might have been an owner?) told me the story of how the pizza I ordered came to be (the Barbacotta < this is apparently a made up word, lol! I loved the personal touch of learning something about the pizza & restaurant). It was a dish he made at a previous restaurant that everyone loved and let me say-- I'm SO GLAD they decided to put these toppings on a pizza! Delicious!
I ordered two GF pizza and waited about 10 ish minutes, super quick!
They were both DELICIOUS and didn’t skimp on toppings. The red sauce was great! I mean, just look at those photos!

I got the 12 inch NM Uniti for takeout after a run at Placitas Trailhead. It was plenty of food to fill me and it was tasty. The crust was crunchy but not too hard and the pizza had a nice ratio of pepperoni to green chilies. The staff was friendly and the pizza was hot and fresh when I arrived.

Don’t sleep on this pizza, it’s amazing. We walked in and ordered 2 pizzas. Super friendly and quick. Gluten-free pizza was perfect. Sometimes gluten-free crust is gummy but this one was perfect.

Delicious pizza and salads and the best we’ve eaten in a long time! Crust is light and delicious and the ingredients are super fresh. Even the vegetables in the salad are really fresh.
