Escaping the snow on a walk back to the hotel we came across this sweet bar! We were able to warm up by the fireplace with an adult beverage. The atmosphere was fantastic. Super fun with a dart board by the back bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

It was very crowded, probably because of the holidays, but it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There wasn’t much space between people; however, most of the guests were friendly. The food is served, though staff do not regularly check if you need assistance or refills. On the positive side, the food is not expensive.

The only complaint is that this bar gets very busy, for good reason though! The food is yummy, service is good, and they have fair priced drinks. They also have free popcorn which is amazing. The dart boards are free to use (not electronic). I think the best part is the atmosphere though. It is always decorated for the time of year to the max!

Our visit to Deer Camp MKE | Camp Bar was just okay. We’re not big drinkers, and unfortunately, they didn’t have the non-alcoholic beer selection that many places seem to offer these days. We ordered two pretzels, but the cheese came in a prepackaged plastic cup, which felt like a missed opportunity to elevate their food options and show more care in their menu.
The overall vibe leaned heavily toward a binge-drinking atmosphere, likely appealing more to the college crowd. It wasn’t quite the relaxed, chill environment we were hoping for. That said, the atmosphere was festive, and they do an amazing job with holiday decorations—it’s clear they put effort into creating a lively and fun seasonal setting.
