I had the Columbian platter and a daquiri. My drink was $15 and the plate was $30. Portions were smaller than what you would hope for, but my plate was really good! The steak was tender and flavorful, rice had an awesome lime kick and the plantain was delicious. My main issue was with the service / atmosphere. They have a dj playing music, which was slightly too loud. The thing that bothered my group the most was the food coming out almost immediately. I understand we went there on a kinda quiet night, but we felt very rushed, and we’re used to taking our time and enjoying the meal and one another’s company. We were done with everything in under an hour, which was disappointing. Also I was overcharged for the sandwich someone in my party ordered. All and all the food was very good though.

Carter our waiter was so sweet and took good care of us! The food was amazing and I can’t wait to go back! We sat outside and it was great weather and great vibes! Inside was so cool with great music playing and the staff were all friendly. Overall the restaurant had a laid back hip vibe! We loved it all!

The ambiance here is fantastic!! The service was excellent and I really enjoyed the food. The menu rotates, and everything I had was flavorful and fresh. I’ll definitely be back.

What a cool vibe and wonderful experience. Evelyn took great care of us. I wish I could give her ten stars. We had the Ecuadorian empanadas, Jicama and Apple salad, Caribbean coconut rice and the fried chicken sandwich. Highly recommend!

This place looks very cool—visually stunning, even. Unfortunately, it smells and tastes awful.

The countertops reeked of dirty mop water and mildew, and throughout the meal I kept getting whiffs of it because they were wiping everything down with unclean rags.

The food is mid at best. I would describe it as lazy and bland. The menu isn’t long, yet they still recycle ingredients. We ordered two mains—both were just a protein dumped on arugula. That’s boring. Multiple dishes rely on chimichurri. The mussel ceviche we tried was downright bad, with no redeeming qualities. Mussels and ceviche are two of my favorite things separately, so this was especially disappointing.

The trout is beautiful and very photogenic with its char, but it tastes awful. The char is so heavy that it’s all you can taste. The milanesa, on the other hand, is actually pretty good.

I’ll say it again: the menu design is lazy. Put something in a fire and serve it with chimichurri. Sure, that concept sounds good—but not with this execution. Everything was burned to the point of overwhelming carbonization.

We loved Barda, but this is a miss.

Very trendy and neat place, but most of the food fell short. We had the shishito peppers which were not charred very much and didn’t have any flavoring. They tasted bland. Also ordered the trout which was a large portion, but had no flavor and was tasteless. The only thing that was good was the cheese but cheese is always good. The last thing was the waiter grazed my face with the plate when we picking up dishes. Place was very neat and had a cool vibe, but food wasn’t good at all…

MUST visit spot for drinks, dinner or simply just the vibes! The service is just another worldly! S/O to Ray! The food was delicious, the mains were definitely the highlight for me, the fried chicken was very well seasoned and the black trout with apple salad…. I’m drooling thinking about it.

Puma Detroit has an amazing vibe — the live DJ and great music really set the tone and bring a fun, high-energy atmosphere. The service was excellent from start to finish, and you can definitely feel the same hospitality and style that Barda is known for. However, as someone who considers Barda one of my favorite dining spots, I had higher expectations for the food at Puma. The main courses, particularly the meat cutlets and chicken, missed the mark. The meat was incredibly thin — almost paper-like — and overwhelmed by the breading. The chicken felt like it was mostly deep-fried breading with very little substance. A few thoughtful tweaks to the menu could easily elevate the experience and make Puma truly unstoppable.

Food was delicious!!! Every single item we got was good, including drinks. We ordered the peppers, cheesy bread, fried seafood, and mussels cerviche to start. Finished off with the steak samdwich (chivito) and fries. Ill definitely be back. Setting and music inside was very unique. The service was a tad slow, we were there for a 7:30 dinner but it just didn’t look like they had enough Servers.

I dined at Puma Detroit on a Tuesday early evening with coworkers in town for a delicious dinner. We sat outside and the seating isn’t plentiful so I recommend a reservation or coming in a small group to sit at the bar. All the dishes were delicious I recommend the ceviche and the trout along with any of their cocktails.
