Located across the road from shoe talk in camden, is this incredible pork roll and pie bakery.
I had the chicken snitzel roll with gravy. Now if you follow me, you will know I’m always on the hunt for my favourite pork rolls. I have gone as far as Campbelltown to oran park in my search, but I’m happy to announce that the search is over and it was on my doorstep the whole time.
The bread roll is so light, chewy, yet crunchy. I rate it to be better than annies bakery in camden and they are good.
After I had my first bite, I was already craving the taste, even though I hadn’t finished it. My friends who invited me had the crispy pork rolls, and this was the second day in a row they visited for lunch.
Whilst sitting outside eating, the pork rolls were flying out the door. Extremely popular place for lunch.
They also have pies and cinnamon doughnuts, which I did have, but forgot to photograph.
Indoor and outdoor seating.
Very friendly, fast and accommodating staff
Wheelchair accessible parking and entry.
I really recommend this place for lunch.
Stumbled upon Baylee’s Pork Rolls & Pies in Camden on a Friday arvo and was pleasantly surprised. They serve a wide variety of food from pork rolls to pies, plus coffee and even fresh cinnamon donuts.
I came in specifically to try their crispy pork banh mi ($13). It was made fresh to order and came out in about 5 minutes. First impressions were great – the roll was well-stuffed with plenty of filling, very meaty with a nice crunch from the crispy bits (though I wish there were a few more). The flavour was balanced overall, even if the pork itself leaned a little plain for my taste. Still, it was fresh, filling, and satisfying.
What really stood out, though, was the customer service. I asked Baylee (the lovely owner) if I could buy just one donut to try, but since they’re made in batches she said it might not be possible. To my surprise, while I was eating my banh mi she came over with a donut for me to try on the house. That kind of thoughtful gesture goes a long way – it really shows she values her customers.
I would have rated the food a solid 4 stars, but Baylee’s kindness and genuine customer service makes this a 5-star experience. Can’t wait to come back and try their pies next time!
I’m having mixed feelings about this one.. at first a visually appealing pie that has a tasty description.
A soggy bottom with a doughy feel, but the top was nice and flaky.
Loaded with chicken breast chunks, but completely devoid of leek.
No sauce to speak of, but a very cheesy taste throughout (think grated tasty cheese that isn’t quite melted).
The flavours were mostly fine, except for the excess cheesiness, but it would have been much better with the leek added and an actual white sauce.
Points off because of the soggy base and odd textured filling.
$8.20. I understand that food costs more these days, but the cost wasn’t justified here.
7/10
Friendly service, despite the language barrier.
I think card payment is their preference as they had no money in the register to give me change.
Treating myself 30th anniversary to second visit. Met Baylee, she’s cool!
Crispy pork roll and juice
$23
Unreal.

Holy shhhh do I feel lucky discovering this place. The lovely Annie at the cashier explained they’ve only been open a few months. This is LEGIT Vietnamese Banh Mi, freshly squeezed juices, pies and sausage rolls and more. Vietnamese Coffee to try next time. I had the lemon grass beef roll ($13) and a large orange and ginger juice ($10) I’ll be back.
The coffee was really good!
The pricing seems reasonable for the crispy pork rolls, though some of the other options were definitely on the steeper side compared to what you find a couple of suburbs down.
