Red booths, Tiffany lamps, unbelievably good value wine menu.
Go to meal:
Linguine Vongole (white clam sauce). I have had literally thousands of these in my life and this hands down had the most clams I’ve ever had on this dish. The sauce is truly clam forward and it’s so good. And it’s not too garlicky which some places lean on for primary flavor.
Filet Mignon Meatballs- YUMMMMMMMMM
Cauliflower- it’s like poached in a crack sauce it’s so good, tender, slightly lemony, yes butter.
It’s everything you want from this type of place.
Parking can be challenging but we got a spot right up front
The tomato sauce here is literally divine and that is the basis of good Italian food. It takes time and love there is no scrimping allowed or ♀️
We got the calamari which was tender and the sauce amazing.
We split a Cesar (see picts for size) which was the literal perfect flavor balance
We god sand dabs and chicken piccata as the 2 main courses. The sand dabs were flavorful (I like them a little more crispy – but there are no half stars so ♀️ ). My chicken was delish.
The martinis were literally 5 stars – perfectly balanced and ICEY which I love ❄️❄️❄️ They don’t have patron silver – for my personally created patron martini but I now like Don Julio silver Better so good!
We ended with a tartufo for dessert which was very nice ( my husband loved it – I prefer to drink my dessert)
The darling professional waiter made me the MOST magical after dinner drink:
Anejo patron
Expresso
Tia Maria
Amaretto
As a martini
wow! I told him to make me a magical coffee drink for dessert and bam perfecto
Personal high level service and soulfully delicious food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We ordered a Tom Collins and a Mojito, we were told that they couldn’t make a Mojito because they didn’t have the ingredients and the Tom Collins was eh ok.
The garlic bread came out and it not only smelled amazing the flavor was wonderful. For appetizers, we ordered buffalo mozzarella and I’ve never seen it presented in the manner we received it. The cheese was cold and tasted like something we would get at the market, it was served on chopped lettuce with pickles and 2 roasted cherry tomatoes. We also ordered soft-shelled crab (this was an entree portion but we wanted to try it), I can’t put my finger on it but it was very mediocre.
We split a caesar salad, but again very bland and we didn’t barley eat any of it. For my entree, I ordered the special, veal osso buco with gnocchi and we ordered the filet mignon (sliced). Unfortunately, again it was just ok.
And then there is the glass of wine we ordered, per the waiter’s suggestion, but neither one of us drank it.
I am giving this a 2 star because the waiter was very kind and he tried to make it as spectacular as he could. It was very nice that they brought out a birthday cake for me and sang happy birthday.
I had filet mignon Bolognese as well which was good nothing memorable.
The spaghetti and meatballs was also OK.
I did like the martinis, though.
It’s a good place to try at least once.
Basic menu, frozen ingredients, terrible service, massive mark-up on wine. Spent $450 for 2 people & was extremely disappointed. This is diner quality food, if even that. Want my money & time back!
Enjoyed the cacio e pepe
I love italian food. They delivered.
