Had a very expensive meal. My husband and I both ended up with food poisoning on our last day of vacation. Left message for a manager to call me back and no response. Waitress was super nice and friendly but that’s the only good thing I can say about our visit.

Very nice space and good service. It appears to be great for steaks, but I wish there were more seafood selections.

This was quite the place to visit, I believe the building was built in 1902 and has such a good feel on the interior giving you a warm and inviting feeling. And I can’t say enough about the quality steak dinner along with the sides was all perfection. They were handing out Halloween Goody’s while I was there and just like the decoration for the holiday they go all out, great service great food awesome atmosphere and will definitely be stopping in again

This was my first visit since the new owners took over and I really only have 3 complaints: the biscuits, the menu and the service. Honestly, the food was really good. BUT, if I’m paying $50 per plate in a place that is trying to be high end, I would expect a nice basket of dinner rolls, not biscuits that came in frozen from the Sysco truck(we did not eat the biscuits and if I had to guess a lot are getting wasted by other customers for this very reason-maybe ask your servers how many get thrown away). Also, regardless of the quality of the biscuits, it’s just not what you would expect with “fine dining”.
Okay, let’s talk about the menu ..not what was on the menu but the menu itself. It was a piece of paper in a page protector. Really?? Just looks tacky. If this was the wrangler or the patio grill…sure…but for a high end steakhouse??? No..
As for the customer service, we ordered alcoholic drinks in the restaurant and it took at least 15 or 20 mins to receive our drinks. If you don’t want your drinks sitting empty for too long, I’d suggest placing your next order as soon as you get a drink. Overall, the price of our dinner did not reflect the quality that is provided. Will not be back.

Upscale western dining . Great friendly service. Drinks came right out even though it was very busy. Our steaks were cooked just how we wanted them.
Had a cozy table with a view of main street Pinedale. Very entertaining.
Really great food. Make sure you call in for a reservation

While visiting Pinedale for our grandsons’ wrestling tournament, we enjoyed a fabulous prime rib and NY steak dinner with all the fixings! The food, wine, and beer were excellent!!! David, who visited our table for quality check, was very personable and engaged in wrestling stories with us and it was fun to visit with him. After the tournament the next day, we went back to Stockman’s and enjoyed a cheeseburger and fries and fish & chips. Again, the food and service were excellent and we were attended by Traci, first class wait staff, and David recognized us and we enjoyed another chat about the tournament. All in all, excellent food and delightful staff!!!

My food was delicious and really well prepared. Blue cheese dressing with proper blue cheese bits! Tenderloin perfectly cooked with a peppercorn demi glaze. Grilled shrimp uniquely and wonderfully spiced. I was really blown away by the excellent quality of the food.

Went here on our last day in Pinedale. They were having a soft opening and it was pretty packed, so we knew we had made a good choice! The staff were very friendly and attentive. They have domestic beers for $1 during Happy Hour (4:30-6) and the food was absolutely amazing! If you are around the area I would highly recommend making your way here!

One of the best places to eat, steak was cooked perfectly, I liked the pasta but it was interesting with many different vegetables that I wasn’t completely sold on.

Surprise! Your server was the owner’s girlfriend! We would never have known. Would you like to meet the chef/owner and have a tour of the entire property? That is what we received, not because we are big tippers or celebrities, but because we asked a simple question about the location. These people are an inspiration. This restaurant skillfully and beautifully rides the line between snooty and sensible, in a way that perfectly fits the bill. The food was excellent, the décor was gorgeous, the layout cool, and after being shown every back room and told about every secret passage, we bumped into Buck. Buck purchased this derelict building and turned it into a huge, classy, comfortable, and fun place. Super misleading from the street view. He kept the original name so that the locals would not be encumbered by new management nonsense, and so they could feel a certain wonderful way about their own history. One of the staff approached him while he spoke to us asking “The kitchen is closed but this guy wants to order.” “Anything he wants” was Buck’s response. That is the spirit of this establishment.
It is owned and operated by a bug and fish scientist who developed an affinity for cuisine while guiding on the river and cooking for fly fishermen. If you had an unsatisfactory experience here, it was a one-off, an accident. I have traveled all across the mountain West.. my crew as well. We all marveled at the degree to which we were catered to and welcomed. We were also astonished at the thought and creativity that went into every aspect of this place. A hostel? Massage therapists? A photo booth? Employee quarters? We were given access to an old slot machine and invited to play. The arcade is in its own room and has crazy modern games that will make your kids head explode. An observation tower? A poker room? This guy is my hero. He took an idea and built a mecca that I will never forget. I think the most endearing part is that we are likely not an exception. They probably take random guests and explain the entire history, renovation, and philosophy to lots of folks. A true hidden gem that I am thankful we stumbled onto. Bless you, Buck and Mindy, for what you are doing. And Kay, may you rest well knowing that your endeavor is being so faithfully and capably carried on by these two angels.
