I just walked in to this Subway, ordered the sandwich that I usually get and received a sandwich that was poorly assembled. The employees were more focused on my vehicle parked outside than on making my food and their overall demeanor was not very welcoming. Please see attached photo of what my sandwich looked like after I opened it two minutes later. Will not stop at this location again.

The reason why we preferred to stop by at Subway was that there are no good restaurants in the vicinity of Starved Rock state park. So we picked up a few sandwiches & a flatbread (the only vegetarian alternative)
I am a vegetarian, so I ordered a veggie sandwich but turned out this store was out of veggie pattie at the moment.
Of all the people in our group, some got their chicken sandwiches ready in no time. The staff was friendly & efficient.
I’m taking away one star only because I couldn’t get what I wanted.
But good staff & clean premises go a long way!

I would like to provide a POSITIVE Experience we had recently visiting the Subway location in Ogelsby, IL off of I-39. We understand the owners names is “farmer John” . We stopped at approximately 4:30 pm Sunday, August 17, 2025 to enjoy an early dinner while traveling north to Rockford, IL. We were greeted with pleasant and professional staff who were eager to serve our needs. Their names were Andrew and Mariska and they followed all customer service protocol to in retail to make this stop a tasty, high quality, and efficient experience. We purchased a tuna footlong meal deal and dined in the dining room. The sandwich prep area was clean and well stocked with fresh protein options and fixins. The bread was fresh and very satisfying. The bathrooms were clean and fully stocked as well. All tables were clean and comfortable seating was available throughout the dining room. We THANK YOU for providing a fulfilling experience while on our travels. Keep up the good work. Hats off to the owner and management staff for outstanding hiring and training practices. NEVER STOPPING HERE AGAIN. Didn’t give a crap about my husband being there. His sandwich was sloppy. She seemed mad she had to go get more olives. Just threw a whole handle full of olives didn’t even bother spreading them. If the manager looked at the cameras between 6pm and 6:15pm you’d see the other employee laying in a booth. Soon as my husband walked put. Both of their phones. Worst serve ever. Never again.

I don’t normally spend time reviewing a franchise and this was my first and probably only visit to this location as I was traveling. I have to tell you, they made the best sandwich I think I have ever had at a Subway. It was perfect. Not too runny with the sauces, perfect amount of veggies so they weren’t spilling all over. Bread was as fresh as I have ever had. Really great job to the staff and management.
