Everything we got lacked flavor and it’s not very ‘Thai’.

Tom yum soup was so bland… it’s like missing all the essential ingredients to make the soup.

Thai-style egg is known for fluffy, crispy, deep fried and oily. But the egg that we got was like a normal pan fried egg.

The mango stick rice was so unripe. I tried slicing the mango and it literally flew off of my plate

ordered takeout. At first glance it looks like you get plenty of food for the price which is great. HOWEVER- Food was really bland and dry, my fried rice tasted and looks like regular plain white rice & carrots. I ordered beef n broccoli & fried rice. I received what im presuming to be whatever was on the warmers the longest at the end of the day. Absolutely no sauce or seasoning to be found on the beef, might as well be plain beef jerky. Incredibly disappointing. Sams club fried rice was more authentic than this Unfortunately will resume my search for an authentic thai restaurant.

We loved this place so much that after eating there Sunday evening, we returned again Monday evening. All four of us agreed that we had to go back. Our waitress was knowledgeable and kind. She answered all of our questions. I ordered a vegetable stir-fry with chicken. Two others ordered the Pad Thai. A fourth person ordered the Ginger Chicken Stir-fry and liked it. The sticky rice is awesome! The restaurant was full both nights, so the word must be out that the food is great. I highly recommend it!

Wide variety of well prepared menu items. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. My wife and I shared pork pineapple fried rice and an order of Thai pork egg rolls. Ample portions.

Thai Thai

Wow. You actually have a good Thai restaurant here! Wow.

Yeah, I gave them the typical test. They passed the flavor test. So, enjoy. People of SD you have a good Thai restaurant in town.

I’m from Michigan and our Thai is very good in Michigan. Let’s say authentic Thai owners control all Thai restaurants in Michigan. Even the old Thai folks in Michigan can all cook perfect Thai food. To them it’s their own food.

FYI, the test? Simple. They must cook Gangai and pad Thai correctly and perfectly. This place passed with flying colors.

Highly recommended

We tried the Pad Thai and Stir Fry Rice— both were well-prepared!
Gyoza, however, was just okay — nothing special, could’ve been crispier and more seasoned. Overall, a decent meal!

In 2025, they’ve been open 5 years, and about a year under new ownership. We were only passing by, so can’t compare their food with the original owners’ but what we had was good, though not the best place Thai place I’ve been to (I’ve been to many, including in Thailand).

Our server was very nice and accommodating. We were able to use Apple Pay for payment.

Panang Curry – chicken
This was our best dish. So yummy! A little salty to eat on its own, but perfect with the rice. Ask for white rice. This would not go well with fried rice.

Drunken Noodle – Shrimp
The shrimp in this dish was legit. Big and firm and juicy. I loved it. The noodles were done just right. We asked for spicy, but it wasn’t spicy. And we were Asian, so i thought they would make it more spicy lol. More sweet than i care for.

Laab – beef
This was my least favorite. Again, we asked for spicy, but there was no spicy here. Comes with sticky rice wrapped in foil (not sure why not in a bowl, but ok), and a wedge of iceberg lettuce. The flavors just weren’t popping as the laab I’m used to having, though.

Overall, average Thai place, ok for stopping over, though probably not my go-to if I lived nearby.

For Rapid City, especially, this is really good thai food and we’re lucky to have this restaurant here. The food is fresh, the service is appropriately attentive. The atmosphere is a you would expect.
We enjoyed mixed veggie stir fry with chicken, and the basil veggie stir fry (pictured) with chicken plus a thai iced tea. Highly recommend!

My husband and I just went this evening for our first time and it was delicious!! My husband also pointed out that this was the best Thai food we have had in a few years. We used to love a Thai restaurant that was near us when we lived in Oregon, but the last 5 years that we lived in the south, we were let down whenever we went out for Thai. .. Anyway, the service and staff at Thai Thai was great, flavors were bright and refreshing and the environment; relaxing. We will definitely be back.

We have been here a few times, and it’s consistently delicious. We’ve gotten a variety of dishes, including the red curry, panang curry, pad thai, pad see ew, spring rolls, etc. They make a great Thai iced tea as well. The restaurant has a friendly, casual, comfortable atmosphere. I would certainly recommend checking them out!
