I’ve been to this place multiple times, and the service is consistently horrible. The food happened to be good but there’s a serious issue at the cash register. They’re price‑gouging customers. It wasn’t just me — the person in front of me had the exact same problem. So be careful when you go. The food might be good, but the moment you pay, they push the price as high as they can, hoping you won’t notice the difference.
I want to clarify that I have no personal benefit in sharing feedback about my experience. As a Muslim, and especially during the holy month, I felt it was important to express what occurred. My intention was to bring the situation to your attention. I was hoping for understanding and a fair review, but it seems my account was met with doubt. Whether you choose to believe me is entirely up to you. Thank you for taking the time to read my message.

Very disappointed with the iftar buffet. We went just before iftar and almost all the food trays were empty. They were refilling only 3/4 items. There was a big party so they should have taken preparation earlier. The owner noticed that we didn’t get enough food. Ridiculously at the time of giving the bill he offered only 2 dollars discount which we didn’t ask for . The amount of food we got not even worth 15 dollars but we paid 30 dollars. The taste of the food was good but definitely not going again because of their poor serving and poor judgement of the compensation.

Went for an early breakfast at this restaurant, and the owner was an amazing host. There were so many options to choose from! I went with the paya, as I had been craving it for a long time. I also ordered mixed vegetables and fresh roti. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. I ended my breakfast with an even better cup of tea.
Big thanks to the owner—I hope they keep this wonderful breakfast tradition alive!
P.S. For non-Bengali Muslim visitors: all the food is halal, and they also serve a lunch buffet

Dinner was absolutely delightful today! We ordered the beef kala bhuna, roast, and two other dishes — everything was delicious. The service was excellent as well. One young boy was managing four tables all by himself, and he did an outstanding job. Despite being alone, he handled everything so efficiently and kept the service smooth and pleasant throughout. Truly impressive.

Alif Restaurant was an absolute treat! The variety of authentic Bangladeshi dishes was spot on—each bite brought back real homestyle flavors. What really stood out is that they serve breakfast, which is rare to find in Michigan for Bangladeshi cuisine. The service was excellent too—super friendly and helpful staff all around.

We went to buffet and it was really amazing and the food was great , they served us items separately in our table after warming up because I went late and that was heart warming welcome. They are the most authentic Bengali food , their service was excellent I will give 10/10, I usually don’t put reviews but they deserve it for their customer service.
I was very pleased by their service and their food , so I ordered tehari it was good but they gave me one day old tehari,

I ordered Beef Thehari over the phone from this restaurant. The guy who picked up the phone told me that the order would take 10-15 minutes. After 30 minutes, I went to the restaurant to pick up my order, and the same guy told me now that my order was not ready yet. This time, I received the worst Beef Thehari.

Very family friendly place, foods are amazing. I went there on Sunday, and they have buffet on Sunday. Each peraon $12. So, I went there with my wife and 4 year old son, they said with two adult one kid food is free. Thats very generous of them, my son also liked their chicken porota.
I mostly loved their nihari, kolijaa bhuna, and daal. You can pick in between porota and ata ruti. Chicken, beef, duck bhuna are also other choices that you can make. If you happen to find any empty dish, just ask for it, they will refil it for you.
Only one man was serving the entire restaurant floor, that i think they should consider to put more individuals in the floor to serve and organize better.
They had a lunch buffet there too, but didn’t get the chance to try that. Planning to go there again for that for sure.
The day i went
