This charming authentic Italian restaurant offers indoor and courtyard dining. I have eaten twice there so far and have been very pleased with both pastas I tried. The tiramisu was superb — the best I have had outside of Italy. Our friendly server told us that the chef is from Sardinia. My margarita was tasty with plenty of tequila.

It seems like every timeI think I’ve found the best spot in SMA the next night there’s another even better! Tonight Mare Nostrum Located at Umaran 56 in Zona Centro. This is a tiny place with greenery as thick as a jungle. Romantic settings and delicious dining for couples or small groups. Very limited seating so call for reservations if you have a party larger than four. I can personally recommend any of the pastas, they are fantastic. Try the garlic bread too. It’s just like we fix at home garlic sautéed in butter then toasted, excellante! We had the four cheese linguine, bolognese with Longo pasta and shrimp pasta. All were well prepared and tasted great. The desserts were awesome also. We had the chocolate mousse and it was so light and fluffy. So delicious!

This restaurant is very modest, unassuming but two lovely cats escort you in, warming up the night immediately. We sat in the patio area and it was like sitting in your backyard. Homey, but no view.
