Good food in a vibrant Lake Oswego location. I’d give it a 3.5. Won’t blow your socks off especially if you’ve been to upscale steak houses, but the food is good and the decor is thoughtfully designed. The highlight of the evening was the decadent dark chocolate cake with a cappuccino. Perfect end to a rainy date night. Nice to have another upscale option. We’ll definitely be back.

Everything we had here was excellent! My steak was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. We were a party of five and no one had a bad thing to say about the meal or the service. I would 100% recommend trying it out.

We had an incredible experience at Jewel Box Steak in Lake Oswego. From start to finish, everything was excellent. Each of us ordered steaks, and every one of them was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy, flavorful, and exactly how we asked.
The ambiance really set the tone for the evening—warm, inviting, and elevated without being stuffy. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a special night out while still feeling comfortable and welcomed.
Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the overall atmosphere made the meal even more memorable. If you’re looking for a place in Lake Oswego that delivers both outstanding food and an amazing dining experience, Jewel Box Steak should be at the top of your list.

Jewel Box is gorgeous inside, with great ambiance and a pretty solid wine and cocktail list. The bread and shishito peppers were definite highlights. The steak, however, was just okay, my husband gave it a 6/10. We were hoping for more from a local steakhouse. We will dine there again, because we like to support our local restaurants.

10/10 Experience! The food and cocktails were phenomenal. The service was excellent – we had two very attentive servers and the owner even stopped by to say hi. Love the decor – it has this upscale, dark, moody aesthetic that feels very intimate and cozy.
We had the wedge salad with the Pisco Lima and old fashion cocktails to kick off the meal. Followed by the mashed potatoes, seared carrots, and the 24oz cowboy rib eye with a Chianti red wine. Ended the night with a decaf americano and the layered chocolate cake, which was impossible to finish due to its decadence and size.
Well worth the wait for a reservation. We will be going back to try more of the menu. Great for date nights and impressing out of town guests!

I’m not sure why anyone would give this place anything less than 10 stars!! An absolute amazing experience every single time. The service and the food are incredible. You can tell they really pay attention to detail and a feeling of connection. The owner is fantastic and you can tell she treats her team well (as I see the same staff every time I am in!). Bravo to an incredible restaurant in Lake O!

The food at Jewel Box was genuinely fantastic — beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t live up to the quality of the meal.
Both the bar top and the restaurant require reservations, and despite that, we were clearly treated as if we were on a clock. Even after spending $254 for two people, we were rushed out so they could turn the space over for other reservations. This was especially disappointing because we were having an intimate dinner and catching up after not seeing each other for a long time.
It felt less like hospitality and more like being managed on a strict time frame, which really took away from what could have been a memorable evening. For a place at this price point, I expect to feel welcomed — not pushed out the door.
Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend returning unless you’re comfortable with a very limited dining window.

We went there during the opening week. The food was fantastic. One of the better meals we have had in lake oswego. Things were still being worked out as far as the service and plating. Nothing unexpected for a new restaurant. I know given a few weeks they will have all the kinks worked out. The owner is super nice and clearly cares about the little details. The atmosphere and decor is great. The restaurant would make a great date night or a lovely evening for a small group. The prices are very reasonable, given the quality of the food. We tried two different steaks and the salmon. All were very excellent. We also got the mashed potatoes as a side to share. We had the chocolate dessert cake which fed four of us easily. I didn’t get a picture of that one. I wish I had. Cocktails were also excellent. Can’t wait to get back.

The Jewel Box is hands down one of the best premium steakhouses in the Portland area — in fact, it outshines Chart House, El Gaucho, and Ringside by a long shot. The dry-aged steak was incredible — perfectly cooked, full of rich flavor, and truly memorable.
The menu is concise but thoughtful, with every dish executed beautifully. The sides are all ordered separately, but there’s plenty to choose from, and each one complements the main dishes perfectly. My wife had the salmon, which was equally fantastic — fresh, tender, and beautifully presented.
The ambiance is elegant yet comfortable, the service is top-tier, and it’s the ideal spot if you want a great meal without heading into downtown Portland. This is easily one of Lake Oswego’s standout dining experiences — a must-try for steak lovers.
