We walked down for some drinks a few times during our 3 days in Alpine. The staff was always nice and drinks were good. They allow dogs inside and outside which was nice for us traveling with our pup. Overall we had a great time each visit.

Really nice bar and patio. We sat outside because we had our dog with us. The bartender was very kind, she said we could sit inside too, but we liked the vibe outdoors.
I tried a beer from El Paso that was good. Will go back tomorrow after a long day of hiking!
2nd time we came we sat inside!

We stopped in for a drink prior to going to dinner. My margarita was great. The beer was ice cold. They had someone making and selling cheesesteak sandwiches (they smelled fantastic). There wasn’t any entertainment happening while we were there, but it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere.

A delightful West Texas bar, with a solid collection of craft beer taps. We enjoyed the outside seating area, and had the privilege of listening to a musician playing during our visit.

If you’re in Alpine for any amount of time, the place you need to go to get a sense of the local vibe and folks is this place. Had such a great experience at the Ritchey during my short stay in Alpine and already miss it!!

Shoutout to Wes the chef of some KILLER hamburger sliders. The burgers were old school flat top style, cheese, mustard and pickle. Simple but sincerely top tier. He was a one man show and kept everyone taken care of on food.

Lovingly restored building steeped in history, the Ritchey Wine Salon is a refuge from classic downtown living. Across the tracks from the heart of Alpine, its Murphy Street location sets it apart in a more relaxed and artsy neighborhood. Their selection of wines is eye opening andpleasing to the taste buds. The bar tender is well versed in his trade, quick-witted and a joy to converse with (to say nothing of his vast knowledge of his libations – but not in a stuffy way). Worth the walk/drive across the tracks – and be sure to enjoy your drinks on the patio out back, or the salon upstairs.

We stopped in not knowing they also had live music in the evening. Nice treat at the end of a day on the road.
