Sometimes you just have to have a Nathan’s chili dog. Nice place to take a break from driving, lots of indoor seating, free refills on the drinks!

When my friend suggested that we stop at a travel lodge for lunch since we were in the area I was skeptical. He said they had a Nathan’s and their hot dogs were really good, I reluctantly agreed. The young lady who took our order was friendly and polite, this is where the positive experience ended. THE FOOD WAS NASTY!!!!! The hot dog could have been saved if we didn’t get chilli and cheese on it, the chilli was just a thin sauce with a tiny bit of so called meat. The cheese was some type of processed can or jar slop. The crinkle cut fries, well, I am now questioning whether they were even potatoes, they were bland with no seasonings and mushy, just downright disgusting. We didn’t even finish eating them, that’s how bad they tasted. You don’t expect a travel lodge to have 5 stars restaurants but you do expect food that is half way decent. I wish we would have went to Dunkin Donuts, now I understand why the line there was so long and only a few people were at Nathan’s . If you really want a hot dog that bad, just get the basic condiments, hopefully they can’t mess those up (but you never know) on second thought just get a plain hot dog, because if you get their chilli and cheese slurry or those fries that taste like they were genetically engineered growing in some lab, you will be very, very sorry. YUK!

First time here and the service was quick… but the food showed why.. Looked like my fries were scooped with a spoon before they were even done and the hulk must’ve made my cheese dog. But atleast that was edible. This location outta be renamed infamous and add fryer grease to their list of toppings.

Stopped at the Maryland House on our way home for a quick bite and wanted to try something different so we went to Nathan’s. The hot dogs were fresh and the fries were hot and crispy. My son enjoyed his chili cheese dog. I liked the breading on the mini corn dogs. Even though the price for one was about the same as a pack, having it hot and fresh was worth it.

So, I just happened to stop by for a quick restroom stop at the Maryland House rest area. The initial goal: Relief myself and get back towards my original destination. However, upon walking in, I smelt the awesome aroma of the food being made, and after checking my wallet and making my pit stop , I decided to see what I wanted. Well, there’s plenty of options here, but seeing Nathan’s and looking at the menu, I decided to go for you guys. If I could go home and buy me a pack of your branded hot dogs and make them home, I had no reason to get them here. So I looked passed them and saw things on the menu I never thought you’d carry: fries in particular. I decided to go for it. Well, that’s where the intriguing experience ends. The working employees on the shift, 4 at that I could see, were all congregated in the front, waiting for business I assume. However, seeing me observe the menu, they figured I was still making my mind up. No friendly greeting, but no fuss about that. Anyway, one of them started motioning at me, but in no way as communication, but as if they were mocking me. After I noticed and made eye contact, then I was met with a “Do you know what you want yet”, in which I replied, Yep. The rest of the order dialogue went smoothly, and I got my food relatively fast. I said thank you, and walked out to my vehicle with haste, as I was hungry and looking forward to a good snack. Well, if you see the fries in the picture, not exactly sure if they look crisp or appetizing to whoever might read this, but I took a bite and noticed how unusually soft they were. I was certainly looking forward to nice crispy fries. But at the fry on top, it tasted undercooked and a bit sweet, which surely threw my tastebuds into a ruckus. I just stopped at the fourth fry and discarded of all of them. Please, next time someone comes to this location, make sure you get your fries crispy, even if they are the ones that are topped. I’m sure I’ll have a better experience with Nathan’s elsewhere, but this is an eye opener review for you guys. Thanks for reading.

The customer service was atrocious. They clearly didn’t want to be there. Waited and waited for my food and it wasn’t coming. Checked the monitor and didn’t see my order. They’d tossed a crumpled bag on the counter without calling it out. Did I mention the two people at the counter didn’t want to be there? Lady with tattoos and a tall skinny guy with his underwear completely exposed.

Worse place ever, the lady who serve the counter was unprofessional and has attitude. They don’t have half of their menu. The chicken was nasty and they don’t even warm it. The onions ring was oily and wet.
I suggest the owner to do better and hire good employee. The counter laid said she don’t have change for twenty bill and she don’t care if we leave.

The food is pretty good, but it was very expensive. around 40-50 dollars for 4 slices of pizza. There were no small or medium sized drinks, only large. The staff were not very rude but not very nice. Also, they don’t accept cash, only card.
