Very neat bar on the water. They had a solo artist singing which made the experience even better. The food was decent. The sauce served with the sweet potato fries was so good. My biggest issue was it wasn’t as hot as I’d expect it. The pizza dough was a bit undercooked in the center. Was a good value for the price we paid. I will come back

This restaurant is situated on the Mississippi River. Food was good. The service was excellent. The whole team works hard to keep tables clean, fast food delivery and very friendly. Customers need to order at the counter or with a QR code. The employees deliver the food. I highly recommend sitting outside, they have fantastic outdoor dining. ***Photos from outdoor dining ***

I had such a fantastic experience at TurnWater in Fort Madison! The service was truly exceptional — our server, Jay, went above and beyond. He gave spot-on recommendations, and every dish he suggested was incredible.
I ended up getting the chicken tinga tacos and a fish taco, and both were absolutely delicious. But the standout was the Jetty Shrimp… to die for! Jay really knew the menu inside and out and made the whole meal even better with his friendly, attentive service.
I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in town from Boston. Highly recommend!

Food wasn’t nothing special.
i”m gonna try it again and order something else, I’ll update accordingly. Here again Saturday memorial weekend, smash burger is bland no flavor. French fries under cooked & cold. Spouse asked for plain burger , no bread. It was ignored, had a side salad , ask for no onion. They put on onions. Lol
The atmosphere is good, bar etc. Won’t eat here again , but will have a drink and still enjoy the new place.

We had a large group that popped into the restaurant and they were able to accommodate us. The food was great and the service was attentive. First time visitor, the interior space was nice and the bar looks good. Much better than the rating suggests

I always order their shrimp appetizer and the turnwater cocktail. I prefer to come during the week after launch. Am able to have a drink n read my book. The waitress are able to check on u every few minutes.

I unexpectedly discovered this gem while in Ft Madison for a track meet.
They have a beautiful patio with gorgeous views. We admired the scenery while lounging in an oversized outdoor sofa.
Their patio area is, thankfully, dog friendly.
Pictured is their poke bowl with a side of fruit and a kid’s chicken strip meal with fruit.
My only complaint is that their “original” margaritas aren’t. They’re clearly made using either triple sec, agave, or simple syrup instead of Cointreau (or Controy for a really authentic drink) resulting in a mouth puckeringly sweet cocktail. They also lack the traditional salt rim. ☹️
Overall, a good experience, but skip any cocktails that might be made using syrups or mixes as they’re likely to be overly sweet.

Visited tonight for the first time since the “ update” of waiting to be seated/ waitress service. Not sure how to call it. My family and I have been visiting pretty much biweekly since it opened in spring of 2024 and it was honestly disappointing. We really enjoyed the ordering at the door and finding your own seat and self service. In the time it took to wait for the hostess, sit down and wait for our server to come greet us. We could have ordered, sat down gotten our own drinks plus some. When we were greeted by the server it was a “ what can I get you to eat?” We replied well.. we haven’t even our drinks? They replied “ you can do it all at once” … okay so it’s not your typical restaurant’s experience. There was incorrect food modification which is fully understandable, people are people and they make mistakes. After visiting for so long we all felt pretty sad about the change. We will still continue to visit because we’ve all been large advocates of the turn water and the atmosphere. Anyone who asks anyone in our family what we think it’s always “ you gotta go!!” I hope this was a true change you thought would improve the overall well being on the restaurant and not being bullied by boomers who don’t like change. – thank you!
