Debbie the chef and owner of this must go to place in Reed City soes an awesome job! The best dining available as far as fresh food and five-star restaurant with many options. Everything is hand-picked and out of this world! Also great homemade pastries, cookies and more. Don’t just think about it do it!!

Best food in the area I’d say. Prices are high but the portions are massive, especially for lunch. Food can be a bit heavy as well, I try to eat half and save half to go. Staff is great, atmosphere is great. Soup special is always good no matter what they make.

I was in town for a sales call and picked this bistro for lunch. What a gem! We were looking for a quick “decent” lunch and we got a tremendous meal, with great service in a lovely atmosphere. The waiter was friendly and we talked with the chef about her AMAZING chicken soup. Had a delicious wrap with fresh ingredients. Everything was super fresh and even had a great plate presentation. Highly recommend you go out of your way to dine here.

I tried contacting Pere Marquette to get information on catering my wedding next summer, 2026. I filled out their inquiry form on their website twice, giving weeks between allowing for plenty of time to contact me. I didn’t hear back so I called and one of the workers left a message for Deb to call me back. I never heard a thing. I then got Debs personal cell number and contacted her directly. She said she could meet me for a meeting to discuss options further and when I arrived to the meeting, she was not there. Never texted or called me to let me know and have not heard form her since. I am beyond disappointed in the customer service. I refuse to have to hunt someone down to give them money for a service. It is absolutely disrespectful to waist someones time to meet and then never even follow up. I would not recommend this establishment and will be going elsewhere.

A beautifully catered graduation party! Great food paired with terrific unobtrusive service in a lovely and well appointed vintage environment. There were gorgeously displayed colorful heirloom veggies, varieties of crackers, chips, dips, and exotic cheeses as well as a generous salad bar and bountiful entree servings accompanied by freshly prepared hot side dishes. The fillet mignon was cooked and seasoned to perfection and served au jus or with horseradish sauce. The Chicken Alfredo had a divinely creamy and flavorful sauce that the staff indicated was made from scratch on-site. Side dishes included roasted multi-colored baby potatoes as well as delicately steamed fresh seasoned long green beans garnished with delicately sprinkled finely julienned carrots. The dessert bar included petit fours, mini eclairs, a colorful variety of fresh fruits and berries, bon bons, tartlets and French pastries. Splendid and somewhat exotic floral displays appointed each of the food stations. All in all, it was as nice a job as anyone could possibly ask.

I’d like to give you a fair opportunity to answer this question have you ever heard of the different size cuts when prime rib is on a buffet or menu? What are they called and what would their typical thickness be For each Named cut.
I think the 1/4 inch cut I was given last night at a most likely grossly overpriced event made me totally insulted especially when I politely asked you for a thicker cut than what you gave to the people in front of me. I’m sorry when it comes to the main dish, you should never be skimpy on it, that was an insult.

Deb and her crew were amazing. We got married a couple weeks ago and had them cater our wedding. I would highly recommend them! We met with her a couple times to go over the menu and postponed the initial date due to how soon we were trying to plan the wedding. She worked with us and never once made us feel like a burden. The food at the wedding was absolutely amazing. She took our vision and took it to the next level. Everything down to the plates we ate on were perfect. The price was better than I planned for and the food was 5 stars. If we ever need catering again, this company will be my first call!

The brisket wrap is hands down one of the best wraps I’ve ever had! It was smoky, a little spice, but the crunch of it just put it over the top. Very cozy cafe and great service! Found my new spot for when I’m in Reed City!

Let me start off by saying my expectations have been blown away. From the quality of food to the atmosphere, I was pleasantly surprised how high quality my experience was dining in at this establishment.
I have been fortunate enough to experience both the catering services and dine in options offered. On each occasion, the food was absolutely wonderful and the service was top notch and professional. The way they are able to put together their food in a way that it plays music on my taste buds. Even though they offer a huge menu, due to their catering and dine in options, each one of their dishes are finely prepared and exquisite in taste.
As for the atmosphere of the bistro, it was cozy and comfortable while also maintaining the high class feel. When you walk through the door, you’re greeted with classy and creative decorations, a large, but beautiful, painting on the wall, and charmingly vintage floors, walls and ceiling. The mellow music combined with optimal lighting levels created an aesthetically pleasing experience.
I’m by no means a professional reviewer. However, I recommend Pure Marquette Bistro & Catering based off my experiences with them. It’s certainly a 5 star experience!
