We stopped by to check out the brand new Dairy Queen location in Morton the other night. The parking lot was pretty full, but they were also having their grand opening! It was pleasantly surprised to see how many cars could actually fit in the parking lot. I also noticed that there’s actually two drive-through boxes that you can order from, which will definitely speed up the process when ordering to go. We didn’t order any food, just blizzards this time, but I do love their chicken strip basket that comes with gravy, fries, and toast. That tastes really great paired up with barbecue sauce, too!
I do enjoy Dairy Queen, although it’s a bit disappointing that one medium blizzard cost between $7-8. It just seems a little pricey to me. When I buy for my whole family, we’re spending about $40, and that’s just on ice cream. Although I do enjoy trying out the new flavors that they have monthly.
The inside of the location does have seating, and there’s also outdoor seating too on the patio, that’ll be really nice too once it warms up!
There are individual restrooms located on the inside of the restaurant that can be secured with a deadbolt and even some private seating down the hallway on the way to the restroom.
Nicely done on this location guys, there’s plenty of parking, it looks great, and it’s the perfect spot right off the main road!

I asked for a plain cheese burger with ketchup only and she told me my order was a burger with no mustard and no pickle but when I bit into the burger the only thing on it WAS MUSTARD. They look about 50 minutes to give me my food on top of my blizzard not being mixed fully, the bottom of my chocolate blizzard was white with no toppings what so ever. I got a mini. I work at another DQ and I know how hard it is to under-mix a mini. And just to tie it all together, my friend did a mobile order before we even got to the building and had to wait 30 minutes before getting her food and then had to wait another 20 for her mini blizzard. If I could give this DQ a zero star rating, I would.

Overpriced, Understaffed, a rude yelling girl in drive-thru, Cupcakes are freezer burned and taste like freezer. Place is dirty. For the price point, way too expensive for DQ, you should hire enough staff to keep the place clean. Place is only 6 mos old. Do better

Sadly the food at all Dairy Queen locations does not impress me. I wish it did as the Ice Cream is some of the best around. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the restauraunt is clean and well-maintained. I don’t plan on coming back for the cooked food (again that’s just me), but will keep returning for the ice cream.

This is one of the best DQs around! Super clean, very friendly staff, and the food and ice cream is delicious. They are always hosting fun events for the kids too, which is awesome. Definitely recommend giving it a try!

The most expensive Dairy Queen is central Illinois, hands down. Supposedly they have to charge more because it’s brand new to recoup the money. Ridiculous. Food and service is average while blizzards are 4 dollars more than El Paso, Fairbury, and Pontiac Dairy Queens.

I was so happy by how fresh and good my food was here. My blizzard was delicious and I love how they flip the blizzards. Clean store and happy staff made the whole experience great. I’ll definitely be back! Also considering this store just opened a few months ago I’d say the kids working in there are killing it. It’s definitely a chill new spot for folks in Morton.

Who ever was the drive thru person was has no business in customer service. Very rude when asked a simple question of the blizzards and sundaes. Two thumbs down will never be back. Your welcome for the $22 donation.
